The #1 Entrant in the Women' Royal Rumble Should Be...

Post by Big Red Machine » Jan 27th, '18, 20:31

Sara Del Rey.

The match is in Philly so there is no risk of people not knowing who she is, and sending her out first will allow fans to finally give Sara the direct public thank you she deserves (and that fans want to give her) for her role in reshaping women's wrestling in WWE.

I'd personally give her the Number Two slot for this purpose just to make it a little less expected, but she does deserve this, the work she has done to take some of these women and turn them into gems is outstanding, she has been the faceless and unthanked woman behind this movement and you're right, she deserves a big thank you. Philly would be ideal for this and they've got plenty of spots available, so why wouldn't they?

There's only three reasons they wouldn't do this.
1. They do fear that she wouldn't be recognised... but that's where you should use your commentators to build up exactly who she is to those who don't know her.
2. She actually may not want to participate... so as not to take away from the current roster, which is a genuine consideration she may well make.
3. There is the possibility that they haven't even considered her for the Rumble.
Have A Nice Day!

recognition wise, i think she already has the NXT recognition since she's been out there during the farewells, wwe.com, and breaking out show, so it's not just dependent on the indie hardcores. I originally liked Red's idea more to use her to build Baszler, but given how things worked out, a Rumble last run would be nice. Ride of the Valkyries one last time (if not because fucking dragon stole the theme)

Actually Dragon was using it first in APW.

Giving her the #1 spot lets her be in the ring by herself- alone with the fans, as it were- which would make the moment more special, as well as mean that you don't have to hold up the start of the match until the fans are done chanting.

Fox has a broken taibone so she's out of the Rumble. Come on, WWE! Do the right thing and give Death Rey her moment.
