I honestly don't know anything about the start of the Danhausen gimmick, but it looks serious, I kinda dig it

Looks like something he stole from Ghost (the band, I mean).

I much rather imagine he's trying to steal something from the Ghost movie

it's like he was trying to cosplay that Prince Devitt face paint run before he signed.
