WINNER ADVANCES TO THE TAG TITLE TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter vs. the Coffey Brothers- 7/10
Joe Coffey’s knee got worked over. The announcers pushed that Smith & Carter were now showing a “killer instinct,” and the wrestlers got that across enough s that it didn’t feel like the announcers were just saying it. The announcers also wondered if Joe Coffey made a mistake by not tagging out when he had the chance.

A-KID INTERVIEW- decent
He tells us that his match with Charlie Dempsey in two weeks will be held under Heritage Cup rules. He did a good job of conveying the idea that he and Dempsey used to be friends, but he isn’t sure just how much Charlie has changed, and that this will sort of be a test of that, because these rules are something they both like and respect.

EMILIA MCKENZIE’S INTERVIEW IS RUDELY INTERRUPTED BY LASH LEGEND- fine
Millie wants Lash to actually fight.

IVY NILE vs. NINA SAMUELS – 4/10
Ivy won clean. This was fine.

DAMON KEMP PROMO- fine
This was fine, if a little too “THIS IS A PRO WRESTLING PROMO!”

DAVE MASTIFF & JACK STARZ ARE DOING A GODFATHER PARODY FOR A REASON I DON’T UNDERSTAND- bad
Yeah, they were making fun of La Familia, but La Familia aren’t an organized crime kind of family.

DURING THE BREAK, JOE COFFEY IS INTERVIEWS ON HIS WAY OUT OF THE BUILDING- good
Joe is disappointed in himself for disappointing Mark. He thinks he needs to take some time away.

WILD BOAR VS. EDDIE DENNIS VIDEO PACKAGE- very good

KENNY WILLIAMS IS GOING CRAZY TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO TIGER TURAN IS- good
I just hope it’s not Amir Jordan and they’re going back on their “Loser Leaves NXT UK” stipulation. That would be quite counterproductive, especially because the next thing on the show is the…

LOSER LEAVES TOWN MATCH FOR THE NXT UK CHAMPIONSHIP: Ilja Dragunov(c) vs. Jordan Devlin- 8.5/10
About two minutes in Devlin hit a BRAINBUSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, which set up him working on Ilja’s head and neck. This was awesome, with the usual Ilja Dragunov intensity, but didn’t feel like it rose to the epic level necessitated by the stipulation.
Devlin got a pin with Ilja’s foot on the ropes and the referee missed the foot, but Johnny Saint came out to restart the match. Doing this sort of thing is opening a big can of worms (why this match, but not every other time someone cheats or misses a foot on the ropes?), so it’s the sort of thing you really shouldn’t do at all, but if you must do it, you had better have a REALLY good story to tell that necessitates it. But with Devlin leaving, what story can be told?

This was a great episode of NXT UK, but for the 200th episode, it just felt small, even with the huge main event. I did like the little theme of transition, with NXT UK originals Jordan Devlin leaving and Gallus seeming to be on the path to a break-up, but everything in the middle of the show felt small.
