BRM Reviews the first 11/21/2018 NXT UK

NXT UK WOMEN’S TITLE TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL MATCH: Xia Brookside vs. Rhea Ripley- 3.5/10
Rhea wins an uninspired and slightly sloppy big vs. small match.

ZACK GIBSON & JAMES DRAKE INTERVIEW- They’re going to be a team for the tag team title tournament.

FOOTAGE OF WOLFGANG & THE COFFEY BROTHERS ATTACKING MOUSTACHE MOUNTAIN AFTER LAST WEEK’S SHOW- I know what you’re thinking, but this was a separate attack from the one at the end of the show. Seems unnecessary to me.

EDDIE DENNIS vs. A JOBBER- extended squash
During this match, the announcers reminded us that last week Eddie Dennis told Ashton Smith to watch this match.

DAVE MASTIFF & T-BONE HAVE A SHOUTING EXCHANGE AFTER LAST WEEK’S SHOW- fine
Also, Johnny Saint has booked them against each other next week.

“WILD BOAR” MIKE HITCHMAN vs. MARK ANDREWS- 6.25/10
Good for the time it got.

RADZIE INTERVIEWS EDDIE DENNIS- great!
I’m pretty sure they said his name was Radzie, anyway. Ashton Smith showed up to be a little bit less of a dick to Eddie than Eddie was to him, and Eddie, being a heel (and being Eddie Dennis) got irrationally angry.

NXT UK WOMEN’S TITLE TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL MATCH: Toni Storm vs. Isla Dawn- 6.25/10
Isla Dawn’s nickname has apparently changed from “the Modern Day Witch” to “the White Witch,” meaning she now has absolutely no excuse to not come out wearing a pointy black hat (I assume the “white” in her nickname refers to her skin color, because there was not a stitch of white clothing on her). Toni won clean, defeating the silly witch lady.

EL LIGERO vs. JORDAN DEVLIN- 6.75/10
The announcers told a story about El Ligero having started wearing a mask in the ring because he was shy and said that the mask has helped him overcome said shyness. This seems like the type of story they should have had Ligero himself tell on any of at least two video packages they have had to hype him up over the past month.
Vic Joseph referred to Tyson Kidd as TJ Wilson on a WWE program. Whoops.

Another meh episode of NXT UK.

How is every one "the first NXT UK"? More than one taping at a time?
When they come, they'll come at what you love.

Because they're releasing two episodes every Wednesday, not one.
