BRM Reviews the 10/9/2014 NXT

MOJO RAWLEY vs. TYLER BREEZE- 0.25/10
Mojo was allowed to get some offense in (just some punches). Breeze then locked him in a fujiwara armbar, targeting the shoulder that Tyler threw into the ringpost two weeks ago. Tyler won by ref stoppage, and they played it up as if Mojo had a serious injury.

ENZO ASKS WILLIAM REGAL FOR A FAVOR- he wants Regal to give Carmella a tryout. If she doens't even have a tryout yet, why are the announcers talking about her in-ring debut? Maybe it won't be with WWE, and Colin and Enzo are just using the NXT Performance Center to train her.
So we get to see Carmella in the ring, and she is wrestling against a woman is wearing a big helmet to protect her head from bumps. If your going to have someone do that, you might as well make the helmet green, just to really hammer the point home. Regal gives her a tryout.
THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT COLIN POSTS THESE DESPITE ENZO'S INSTRUCTIONS NOT TO! I love this storyline so much!

HIDEO ITAMI VS. THE ASCENSION VIDEO PACKAGE- great hype.

VIKTOR vs. HIDEO ITAMI- I absolutely hate to do this to KENTA in his first televised match in WWE but... DUD!
The match was short, and some of their stuff looked very slow. Konnor tried to create a distraction by beating up Funaki on the stage, but Itami got the win anyway, with a poor-looking version of the Busaiku Knee.

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- GREAT!
Itami gets beaten down, then tied in the ropes and made to watch while The Ascension give his new best friend Funaki the Fall of Man.

THE VAUDVILLANS vs. ENZO AMORE & COLIN CASSADY- 1/10
During a pre-match promo, Colin Cassady made reference to Stoop Kip from Hey Arnold. The crowd went NUTS for this (which is the correct reaction). They even chanted "Stoop Kid's afraid to leave his stoop!"

SAMI ZAYN PROMO- decent

SASHA BANKS vs. BECKY LYNCH- 2.25/10
Sasha works over Becky's back and gets the win with the Bank Statement.

SAMI ZAYN vs. TITUS O'NEIL- 6.5/10
Proof that even the most basic moves can make for a good match if you tell your story well.

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- Neville saves Sami. Huh.

An okay episode of NXT. Too many short matches.
