GREG BURRIDGE vs. COLT CABANA- 3.75/10
Burridge has a pair of fuzzy dice hanging from the crotch of his tights. They did some comedy stuff, did some British style stuff, and Cabana won clean.
They showed us Sha Samuels watching the match from backstage… but rather than cut away from the wrestling match, they put it up as a picture-in-picture shot. Excellent.

COLT CABANA INTERVIEW- good
He wants to win the title and do so with the respect of the fans.

FOOTAGE OF DAVID STARR INTERRUPTING AN INTERVIEW WITH MATCHMAKER ANDY QUILDAN- good
They got over a #1 contendership tournament they’re going to be having for the tag titles and teased a similar tournament for a shot at the British Heavyweight Title. Starr, the Undisputed British Cruiserweight Champion, then complained about himself and his title don’t getting any attention from Quildan. Starr successfully came off like a dick, although I will admit that he kind of has a point about the other champions (Minoru Suzuki and the Minoru Suzuki/Zack Sabre Jr. team) never having to defend their titles.
After this footage ended, they showed us a bracket of the tag team #1 contendership tournament Andy Quildan had been trying to announce when Starr interrupted him. It will be a single-elimination tournament, and the opening round match-ups will be: HxC vs. Roppongi 3K, Aussie Open vs. Team White Wolf, the Arrows of Hungary vs. the Hunter Brothers, and Jody Fleisch & Johnny Storm vs. Gnarly Neon Explosion(whoever the hell they are). Interestingly, they also made sure to note that if one of these teams should happen to win the titles before the tournament is over, the titles will be defended the rest of the way forward in the tournament.

TAG TEAM #1 CONTENDERSHIP TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL MATCH: Roppongi 3K vs. HxC- 6.5/10
Good tag team wrestling. HxC immediately identified themselves as the heels by attacking Roppingi 3K from behind. They got good heat on Yoh, Roppongi 3K made a good comeback, and got the win. Props to them for doing this in such a way that they actually managed to get HxC’s finish over without actually hitting it and having it be kicked out of.

Rocky Romero vs. Chris Ridgeway has been announced for next week. During the main event we would find out that we’re also getting Dan Magee vs. Sha Samuels (stemming from last week’s altercation), David Starr vs. Kurtis Chapman, and the Team White Wolf vs. Aussie Open tournament match.

CHRIS BROOKES vs. EL PHANTASMO- 5.5/10
Yeah… they’re not all going to be Zack Sabre Jr. vs. KUSHIDA. This match got barely nine minutes of TV time, and El Phantasmo’s selling was not good. If you’re a high flyer, maybe don’t have your leg worked on unless you’re a top-notch seller. The match was also hurt by the finish, which looked a lot more like El Phantasmo’s stupid showboating was to blame for his loss than a distraction by Gresham. Also, why aren’t CCK in the tournament if they’re such a great team?


This was an okay show from RevPro. Okay, fine. The show itself wasn’t very good, but I do want to give them praise for the philosophy with which they have booked the first few weeks of their TV show. They’re building up several characters rather than just throwing us into storylines, and taking a very “real sports” approach to things, setting it apart from every other wrestling product on TV. Compare that to NXT UK and it’s night and day.
