NJPW Kizuna Road 2016: Day 3 (6/27/2016)- Tokyo, Japan

RYUSUKE TAGUCHI vs. DAVID FINLAY JR.- 5.75/10
Really good showing by Finlay. Taguchi worked the ankle and Finlay sold it well. He got in some offense of his own, focusing on the back, but Taguchi came away with the win.

JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER, MANABU NAKANISHI, CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN, & TIGER MASK IV vs. CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii, Kazushi Sakuraba, & Roppongi Vice)- 5/10
This started off as a fun undercard tag team match but it dragged on for WAY too long.

MATT SYDAL, SATOSHI KOJIMA, & YOSHITATSU vs. BULLET CLUB (Chase Owens, Hangman Page, & Yujiro Takahashi)- 6.75/10
Bullet Club jump the babyfaces to start things off and get some heat on Yoshitatsu. Very good match, with Page and especially Sydal standing out. After the match, Page and Yujiro beat up Yoshitatsu and hang him.

TOGI MAKABE, TOMOAKI HONMA, & JUICE ROBINSON vs. HIROYOSHI TENZAN, YUJI NAGATA, & KATSUYORI SHIBATA- 6.75/10
Tenzan hit a freakin’ moonsault! Honma and Shibata kept fighting after the match to build up their NEVER Openweight Title match next week.

LOS INGOBERNABLES DE JAPON (Sanada & EVIL) vs. CHAOS (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI)- 7.75/10

LOS INGOBERNABLES DE JAPON (Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI) vs. CHAOS (Will Ospreay & Kazuchika Okada) (w/Gedo)- 8.25/10
G-d damn those f*cking Ingobernables! The low blows, the going after Gedo, the general viciousness. SUCH GREAT HEAT! Okada and Naito have a lot more magic to make together before their careers are over, but this year in particular should be great. They play off of each other SOOOO well.

A good show from New Japan. The main event is worth going out of your way to see, and with New Japan travelling so light on this show (no Tanahashi, Omega, KUSHIDA, Elgin, Bucks, Ricochet, or reDRagon), it was nice to see YOSHI-HASHI, EVIL, and BUSHI get a chance to step up in a big spot.
