I wonder if throwing it to the sky and replacing it was all planned, but i like that this could be some kind of ransom on Naito's head.
New World Title Coming to NJPW?
New World Title Coming to NJPW?
Soo the story is that Naito has damaged the world title with his antics of throwing it to the sky, sooo apparently the NJPW owner is promising a new title to whoever takes the title from Naito

Good angle, either as cover for repairing a dented belt, as a cool kayfabe reason for getting a new belt (as opposed to ROH just randomly doing it every few years), or just as an angle to show that Naito's disrespect is having some sort of physical consequences. Most interestingly is that if Okada can't beat Naito, it means they'll have to make someone new because they don't have Nakamura anymore and Tanahashi can no longer challenge for the belt.

I think it's got to be Shibata. I was astounded that they didn't do that match at last year's Tokyo Dome show.cero2k wrote:and they have the G1 to build such person. Yeah... but it's nothing compared to Hero's promo at Hell Freezes Over. The situations are slightly different, but I don't think any "disrespecting the title belt" promo will ever compare to that one.cero2k wrote:good little heel promo from Naito
