NJPW G1 Climax 25: Day 14 (8/9/2015)- Tokyo, Japan

DAVID FINLAY JR. & JAY WHITE vs. BULLET CLUB (Tama Tonga & Bad Luck Fale)- 3/10
Short match. Chalk up another win for Mr. Tonga.

KOTA IBUSHI & MASCARA DORADA vs. CHAOS (Toru Yano & YOSHI-HASHI)- 4.75/10
Fun match, but did they really bring Mascara Dorada in to job to YOSHI-HASHI?

CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN, RYUSUKE TAGUHI, & TETSUYA NAITO vs. BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles, Cody Hall, & Doc Gallows)- 3.5/10
Short but fun

HIROSHI TANAHASHI, HIROYOSHI TENZAN, & KUSHIDA vs. KATSUYORI SHIBATA, JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER, & TOGI MAKABE- 6/10

G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK B MATCH: Michael Elgin vs. Karl Anderson (w/Tama Tonga & Doc Gallows)- 6.75/10
HOLY SH*T WHAT A FINSIH! I just wish they’d been put in a position to do more, so they could put on an awesome match like they did (twice) in ROH two years ago

G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK B MATCH: Yuji Nagata vs. Satoshi Kojima- 6/10
Nagata did a lot of goofy overselling in the beginning when his stomach was being worked over.

G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK B MATCH: Yujiro Takahashi (w/Cody Hall) vs. Kazuchika Okada (w/Gedo)- 7.25/10
We just saw, like, five full minutes of Yujiro’s girl stripping. Get the camera off of her when there is ACTION GOING ON IN THE RING! I really liked the interference, but I can see puro traditionalists pooing on it.

G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK B MATCH: Tomoaki Honma vs. Shinsuke Nakamura- 7.5/10
GREAT match!

G1 CLIMAX 25 BLOCK B MATCH: Hirooki Goto vs. Tomohiro Ishii- 8.25/10
In many ways, this was a very They had a no-selling forearm battle that went on for WAY too long, there was pointless kicking out at one, and it dragged on for too long. That being said, there was also a lot of awesome in here, and they did some very Ishii spots in ways that made them seem cool rather than just being random no-selling (not that they weren’t random no-selling, but at least they were fun to watch).

A decent show from New Japan, with the quality of the top two matches helping to make up for entirely pointless undercard.
