It's now HONOUR

Post by cero2k » Sep 17th, '11, 20:23

After celebrating the production of 12 issues. RESPECT hit a proverbial brick wall. As the staff prepared our "new year" we were faced with a legal notice in regards to our name. Despite the fact that this company had no involvement within the realms of professional wrestling, they felt strongly enough that our wrestling magazine was interfering with their hip hop magazine to present us with a cease and desist notice.

Although we felt we had the right to coninue using the RESPECT moniker this is, after all, a free magazine. Everyone on staff does this of their own free will and we have neither the time nor resources to get involved with legal matters. With that said, we saw this as the perfect oppourtunity to re-brand ourselve. We present you with HONOUR.

Coinciding with our rebranding, we will also be presenting perhaps our biggest issue to date. In an exclusive two-part interview, former WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus gives us insight on all her upcoming projects. She also touches upon numerous topics pertaining to professional wrestling such as; her reasons for retiring, her opinion on Lita's retirement one month later, and the WWE's decision to release Mickie James.

We will also be talking to the #1 Contender to the WILD Women's Championship, Terra Calaway and 'Everybody's Favourite Girlfriend' Jessie McKay will be writing for the magazine. Articles regarding the looming debut of Ring of Honor on national television and a preview of JoshiMania will all still be part of our next issue.

As HONOUR we will continue to support the women of professional wrestling and the promotions and entities that put the proper focus on them.
