Money in the Bank Pre-show

Apollo Crews (w/ Big Show) def Sheamus clean with a top rope moonsault in 10 minutes
-The commentators sell how huge of a cap this is in the feather of Crews. Big Show lifts Crews onto his shoulders like a proud papa bear to celebrate.
Darren Young (w/ Bob Backlund def Primo w/Epico by Crossface Chicken Wing)
- Darren Young comes out looking radically different. Any flash or pizaz is replaced with a plain red pair of tights, blue kneepads, an American Flag wind breaker, and Bob Backlund's "Main Street Parade" theme as he and Backlund sprint to the ring. This match is designed to show off that Darren is a more proficient technical wrestler since training under Backlund. When Primo gets a small amount of heat, Backlund screams inspirational advice to Darren. Darren makes his comeback with a few suplexes and a shoulder breaker, eventually leading to the Crossface chickenwing and the submission win. Backlund is still screaming in Darren's ear as they head to the back together

The Show

Kevin Owens wins Money in the Bank

The maych goes about 15 minutes to open. The finish comes when Zayn and Owens both grab the breifcase and fall with it at the same time. Owens out muscles him, tearing away the breifcase, and the ref declares Owens the winner. Another ref comes in to argue the decision but the original ref won't hear any of it. Zayn looks depressed about the unfair loss.

Rusev w/Lana def Titus O'Neil

Rusev surprisingly dominates Titus from start to finish. Titus gets a few hope spots in but The Accolade gets locked in, and they do the "Pass out, not tap out" finish after about 10 minutes. A host of backstage hands, including Teddy Long, who was the special guest pre-show analyst in the place of Byron, help Titus to the back.

The Club def The New Day, Enzo/Cass, and The Vaudevillains (Luke pins Aiden English) to win the WWE Tag Team Titles

Cesaro vs The Miz w/ Maryse ends in a draw

The match is a pretty standard WWE one, until, during Cesaro's Big Swing comeback, someone jumps the ring.... IT'S DAMIEN SANDOW! Sandow clocks Cesaro in the stomach with a pipe before he can do anything. Meanwhile, someone has clocked the time keeper and stolen the Intercontinental Championship.....CODY RHODES! He hands the belt off to someone in the crowd....EDEN! With ALEX RILEY at her side, she stuffs the belt into a briefcase, and the four retreat through the doors out of the arena. This is treated like a real shoot moment as Cesaro and The Miz come too, confused. Cesaro is angrily asking where his belt went as they quickly usher to the next match.
AJ Styles def John Cena with Interference from The Club
The match goes a solid 20 minutes, with AJ suprisingly wrestling clean, that is until he pushes the ref into a Springboard Stunner, which causes Cena and the ref to collide awkwardly. That's when The Club hit the ring and beat the piss out of a stunned Cena. A Boot of Doom followed by a 450 Splash secures the win for AJ as the ref weakly makes the three count. AJ screams at Cena's fallen form, declaring that "I ain't been gifted nothin'! I just took what I want!" The Club give Cena two additional Boots of Doom before heading to the back. Medical personell help Cena to the back.

Charlotte w/ Dana Brooke def Natalya w/ Becky Lynch to retain the Women's Title via pinfall in 10 minutes

The match is very back and forth, until Nattie makes a comeback off some Charlotte heat, this causes Dana and Becky, who have been in each other's faces all night to fight outside the ring. Natalya, in an uncharacteristic move is going up top for a top rope splash of some kind when Dana throws Becky into the ropes outside the ring, which causes Nattie to crotch herself, Charlotte hits a quick top rope Superplex for the win! Nattie sells her injury as champ and bodyguard leave for the back.

Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns ends in a no contest (Roman retains the title)
Roman is dominating Seth until he lands awkwardly from a ducked Superman punch on his leg. Seth spends the rest of the match working his leg. The match ends when Seth slams Roman's leg into the apron as Roman lays in the ring. The ref stops the match and awards the bout to Roman Reigns. Neither man appear to be too happy about this, Shane and Stephanie both run out, Shane audibly trying to restart the match but Stephanie audibly explaining that "we're out of time" as the show fades to black.
