BRM Books Some New Japan Stuff

Post by Big Red Machine » Oct 3rd, '15, 21:37

I am starting this with before Destruction.
I am also working under the assumption that New Japan is going to be a bit friendly to Ring of Honor to help them build up to their show in Japan, and that they feel like using Michael Elgin in particular after his performance in the G1.

DESTRUCTION IN OKAYAMA:

1. JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER, TIGER MASK, reDRagon, & YOHEI KOMATSU vs. ALEX SHELLEY, RYUSUKE TAGUCHI, SHO TANAKA, JAY WHITE, & STEVE ANTHONY (w/Bruce Tharpe)-
Tiger Mask pins White. Komatsu gets to have some good sequences with Taguchi, and after the match, Taguchi makes a point of finding him and shaking his hand.

2. SATOSHI KOJIMA & HIROYOSHI TENZAN vs. CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN & MANABU NAKANISHI-
Ten-Koji win clean, pinning Captain New Japan.

3. KATSUYORI SHIBATA vs. TORU YANO-
Shibata kicks the sht* out of Yano and beats him in about two minutes

4. MATT SYDAL & YUJI NAGATA vs. TOMOAKI HONMA & JUICE ROBINSON-
Sydal pins Robinson clean

5. TETSUYA NAITO vs. KAZUSHI SAKURABA-
Sakuraba has Naito in some dangerous submission, but Naito manages to escape by raking the eyes, then hits his finisher for the win.

6. BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles, Anderson, Gallows, Tama Tonga & Cody Hall) vs. CHAOS (Okada, Ishii, YOSHI-HASHI, & Roppongi Vice) (w/Gedo)-
Chaos win clean when Roppongi Vice hit Cody with their finisher and Romero pins him.

7. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: KUSHIDA(c) (w/Alex Shelley) vs. Kenny Omega (w/Bullet Club)-
KUSHIDA wins clean.

8. G1 CLIMAX BRIEFCASE MATCH: Hiroshi Tanahashi(c) vs. Bad Luck Fale-
Tanahashi wins clean

9. NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Togi Makabe(c) vs. Kota Ibushi-
Makabe overpowers Ibushi all match and wins clean after his big lariat.

10. IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Hirooki Goto(c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura-
Goto wins clean.

DESTRUCTION IN KOBE:
1. ROPPONGI VICE, TORU YANO, KAZUSHI SAKURABA, & YOHEI KOMATSU vs. JUICE ROBINSON, MANABU NAKANISHI, SHO TANAKA, JAY WHITE, & RYUSUKE TAGUCHI-
Roppongi Vice get the win, pinning White. Once again Komatsu gets to have some good sequences with Taguchi and Taguchi makes a point of shaking his hand afterwards.

2. KATSUYORI SHIBATA vs. TETSUYA NAITO-
Naito def. Shibata by low blow and finisher after a ref bump

3. CHAOS (Shinsuke Nakamura & YOSHI-HASHI) vs. BULLET CLUB (Tama Tonga & Cody Hall)-
Nakamura pins Cody after a Boma Ye.

4. MATT SYDAL vs. JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER-
Sydal wins clean

5. KOTA IBUSHI & TOMOHIRO ISHII vs. BULLET CLUB (Kenny Omega & Bad Luck Fale)-
The story of the match is that Ibushi does very well when he is in there with Omega, but has a lot of trouble dealing with Fale’s size and strength. This leads to Fale getting the heat on Ibushi until Ibushi makes a hot tag to Ishii and Ishii and Fale go at it for a while before they eventually both make tags and the smaller guys do their thing until Ibushi pins Omega.

6. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Bullet Club (Anderson & Gallows)(c)(w/Cody Hall & Tama Tonga) vs. Ten-Koji-
Bullet Club win clean when Anderson pins Tenzan.

7. NWA WORLD JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Steve Anthony(c) (w/Bruce Tharpe) vs. Tiger Mask-
Tiger Mask wins clean

8. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: reDRagon(c) vs. Time Splitters-
reDRagon win clean when Kyle makes Shelley tap. After the match, Roppongi Vice turn heel by attacking reDRagon.

9. NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Togi Makabe(c) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi-
They go to a double count-out after Tanahashi goes for a High Fly Flow to the outside and they bonk heads, resulting in both guys being counted out. (Is it a bad finish? Yes. But don’t blame me. Blame New Japan for putting Tanahashi over the NEVER Openweight Champion in the G1 even though having Makabe win that match- or even draw- wouldn’t have changed anything in the way the tournament worked out).

10. IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Hirooki Goto(c) vs. Yuji Nagata-
Goto wins clean.

11. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okada(c) (w/Gedo) vs. AJ Styles (w/Bullet Club)-
Okada wins clean to retain.

KING OF PRO WRESTLING:
1. RYUSUKE TAGUCHI vs. YOHEI KOMATSU-
The story leading into this match is that Komatsu really impressed Taguchi on the Destruction Tour so Taguchi has requested a singles match against him. Taguchi wins clean in about ten minutes, but raises Komatsu’s hand afterwards and puts him over on the mic, telling everyone that he would like to team with Komatsu in the upcoming Super Juniors Tag Team Tournament.

2. MICHAEL ELGIN, ALEX SHELLEY, YUJI NAGATA, & MANABU NAKANISHI vs. JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER, KAZUSHI SAKURABA, TORU YANO, & SHO TANAKA-
Elgin pins Tanaka after an Elgin Bomb in short match.

3. NWA WORLD JR. HEAVYYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Tiger Mask(c) vs. Steve Anthony (w/Bruce Tharpe)-
Tiger Mask wins clean.

4. KOTA IBUSHI vs. BAD LUCK FALE-
Fale wins clean, capitalizing on his massive size advantage.

5. G1 CLIMAX BRIEFCASE MATCH: Hiroshi Tanahashi(c) vs. Tetsuya Naito-
Tanahashi wins clean

6. TOMOHIRO ISHII, TOMOAKI HONMA, & SATOSHI KOJIMA, & HIROYOSHI TENZAN vs. BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles, Tama Tonga, Kenny Omega, & Cody Hall)-
Bullet Club wins clean when AJ pins Honma after a Styles Clash, but Ishii is made to look strong.

7. NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Togi Makabe(c) vs. Katsuyori Shibata-
Makabe wins as a result of interference from Naito (unbeknownst to Makabe).

8. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: KUSHIDA(c) vs. Matt Sydal-
KUSHIDA wins clean

9. IWGP TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Bullet Club(c) (Anderson & Gallows) vs. CHAOS (Shinsuke Nakamura & YOSHI-HASHI)-
Bullet Club win clean when Anderson pins YOSHI-HASHI.

10. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: reDRagon(c) vs. Roppongi Vice-
Roppongi Vice win via cheating to capture the Jr. Heavyweight Tag Titles

11. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okada(c) (w/Gedo) vs. Hirooki Goto-
Because Goto is the IC Champion, we need to go to a time limit draw.

SUPER JUNIOR TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT (Road to Power Struggle)
ROUND 1:
Time Splitters vs. reDRagon
Shelley pins Fish
Young Bucks vs. Team NWA (Chase Owens & Steve Anthony) (w/Bruce Tharpe)
Matt Jackson pins Owens
Liger Mask vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Yohei Komatsu
Liger pins Komatsu
Kota Ibushi & Mascara Dorada vs. Jado & Gedo
Kota pins Jado.

ROUND 2:
Young Bucks vs. Liger Mask
Bucks win when Kenny Omega interferes to take out Tiger Mask, leaving Liger alone to get double teamed and pinned by Matt.
Time Splitters vs. Kota Ibushi & Mascara Dorada
Time Splitters in clean when Shelley pins Dorada. From this point forward, on the remaining Road to Power Struggle cards, Ibushi wrestles against other Jr. Heavyweights and picks up wins.

FINALS:
Young Bucks vs. Time Splitters
Bucks win clean when Matt Jackson pins KUSHIDA

POWER STRUGGLE 2015:
1. YUJI NAGATA, MANABU NAKANISHI, SHO TANAKA, & DAVID FINLAY JR. vs. TORU YANO, TOMOAKI HONMA, HIROYOSHI TENZAN, & SATOSHI KOJIMA-
The veteran Yano outfoxes young Tanaka, pinning him with one of his tricky roll-ups.

2. JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER vs. STEVE ANTHONY (w/Bruce Tharpe)-
Liger wins clean.

3. TIME SPLITTERS, RYUSUKE TAGUCHI &, YOHEI KOMATSU, vs. reDRagon, MASCARA DORADA, & CHASE OWENS (w/Bruce Tharpe)-
Time Splitters win clean when Shelley pins Owens.

4. NWA WORLD JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Tiger Mask(c) vs. Kenny Omega (w/Bullet Club)
Tiger Mask wins clean

5. TETSUYA NAITO vs. KATSUYORI SHIBATA-
Naito intentionally gets himself DQed for attacking Shibata with a chair.

6. TOMOHIRO ISHII, MICHAEL ELGIN, & KAZUSHI SAKURABA vs. BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles, Tama Tonga, & Cody Hall)-
Elgin pins Cody Hall.

7. KOTA IBUSHI vs. DOC GALLOWS (w/Bullet Club)-
Once again, Kota has trouble dealing with his larger opponent’s strength and size advantage and winds up being defeated.

8. NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Togi Makabe(c) vs. Bad Luck Fale (w/Bullet Club)-
Makabe wins clean

9. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Roppongi Vice(c) vs. Young Bucks (w/Bullet Club)-
Bucks win clean, with Matt pinning Barreta.

10. IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Hirooki Goto(c) vs. Karl Anderson (w/Bullet Club)-
Goto wins clean

11. CHAOS (Shinsuke Nakamura & Kazuchika Okada) (w/Gedo) vs. HIROSHI TANAHASHI & JAY LETHAL (w/Truth Martini)-
Nakamura pins ROH World Champion Jay Lethal clean in the middle of the ring.

WORLD TAG LEAGUE STUFF:
The Tournament is won by the team of Tomohiro Ishii and Michael Elgin, who have become friends based on the mutual respect developed from their hard-hitting G1 match.
Go Shiozaki is brought in for this tour to ream with someone. He picks up a pin on Goto to set up an IC Title match at the Tokyo Dome.
Kota Ibushi teams with someone. His story for the tournament is that people are speculating that his decision to compete as a heavyweight last year as a mistake because he has a lost a lot of matches, didn’t do well in the G1, and has now been having trouble dealing with guys who have a size advantage over him, but has done very well when he has faced off against Jr. Heavyweights. He vows to prove the critics wrong, and on the two days of the tournament, he gets pins over first Bad Luck Fale and then over NEVER Openweight Champion Togi Makabe.

Time Splitters would be involved in undercard matches during the World Tag League tour, and whenever they happen to win, it would always be Shelley picking up the victory. On the final day of the tour, KUSHIDA would successfully defend the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title against Matt Jackson. After the match, Shelley would confront him and say that he has been the ones winning matches for their team recently while their only loss on the last few tours saw KUSHIDA get pinned. Shelley claims this means he is better than KUSHIDA and therefore he wants a title shot at the Tokyo Dome!

ROH FINAL BATTLE:
AJ Styles def. Jay Lethal to win the ROH World Title. AJ will be taking the belt to Japan to defend it against Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleKingdom 10 at the Tokyo Dome!

OTHER TOKYO DOME BUILD:
The Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Title match at the Tokyo Dome would be a three-way match with both Roppongi Vice and reDRagon cashing in their return matches against the Young Bucks.
We would also get a clash of tag team partners for the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title as Liger would challenge Tiger Mask.
Shibata is sick of Naito’s sh*t and wants to murder him dead in a No DQ’s match.

NJPW WRESTLEKINGDOM 10 AT THE TOKYO DOME:
BULLET CLUB (Fale, Tonga, Cody, Omega, & Yujiro) vs. MASCARA DORADA, KAZUSHI SAKURABA, HIROYOSHI TENZAN, SATOSHI KOJIMA, & YUJI NAGATA-
Bullet Club wins when Fale pins someone.

NWA WORLD JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Tiger Mask(c) vs. Jushin “Thunder” Liger-
One of them wins clean. I don’t think it matters who. Whoever the NWA wants, I guess.

IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Young Bucks(c) vs. Roppongi Vice vs. reDRagon-
Not sure who wins. Probably doesn’t matter.

IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Bullet Club (Anderson & Gallows)(c) vs. Michael Elgin & Tomohiro Ishii-
Bullet Club wins clean to retain.

IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: KUSHIDA(c) vs. Alex Shelley-
KUSHIDA wins clean. Shelley is very frustrated afterwards but still shakes his partner’s hand.

NO DISQUALIFICATIONS MATCH: Katsuyori Shibata vs. Tetsuya Naito-
Naito wins after interference from La Sombra (I’m pretty sure he’s supposed to be heading to New Japan for the year. Either him or Rush. Whichever one it is, that’s the one who interferes).

NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Togi Makabe(c) vs. Kota Ibushi-
Kota wins clean. His new gimmick will e the guy who can wrestle as either a heavyweight or a junior, so he will defend the Openweight Title against guys in either division.

IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Hirooki Goto(c) vs. Go Shiozaki-
Goto goes over Go (try saying that ten times fast).

ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: AJ Styles(c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura-
AJ wins clean with the Styles Clash.

IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okada(c) (w/Gedo) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi-
Okada finally gets the monkey off of his back and gets a big win at the Tokyo Dome. The finish is either him hitting two or three straight Rainmakers or busting out a new unbeatable finisher.

As often happens, this spiraled completely out of control when I was just trying to get to the Tokyo Dome, I will hopefully get around to putting the rest of my ideas together later in the week.

not bad, I would change some stuff around for my own enjoyment.

- Sombra's interference needs to happen IMO at Power Struggle as an announcement that Los ingoberbables (naito and sombra) are entering the tag tourny. Which makes it a perfect option to either intro Go as Shibata's partner or you can use Dorada to fend off Sombra. They could do something that builds up Los Ingobernables (naito/rush/sombra/mascara) vs Shibata/Go/Dorada/Atlantis for FantasticaMania since it's just like 2 weeks after WK.

- in the jr tag tourny, I've liked Liger/Dorada team, so maybe BUSHI can be Tiger Mask's partner, or keep Liger Mask and Dorada/BUSHI. I just wasn't a big fan of Ibushi doing Jr tag stuff.

- I would had 100% built Elgin for Goto at WK instead. I think they're still 1-1, right?

- I wasn't a fan of Lethal losing the title so soon, but i guess it does work. But you better give me HoT vs BC in the anniversary show.

Goto is 2-0 against elgin.
Bushi is injured so I couldn't use him.
Kota doing the jr. Tag stuff was necessary to his story
The reason I did sombra's interference at the dome was to extend the feud (I have an intersting idea for a blow-off that this builds to). Also, I figure doing the interference at the dome let's us see how well the fans respond tp him in the tag league first. Also, naito getting intentionally DQed builds to a no dqs match better than interference does.

Also... do you really want to waste a bulet club match on J DIESEL?

didn't BUSHI had his big return show some months/weeks back?

i wouldn't mint it as much as Dijak vs BC, but i think both those guys should be built to a credible title contender level, especially now that Lethal has both titles. I'm sure that the Bucks could get a good match out of both of them.

Not sure about BUSHI. Wikipedia says he's injured.

Re Dijack & Diesel...

This is a tag division with the Briscoes, Bucks, War Machine, reDRagon, Kaz & Daniels, ACH & Sydal... and you want to push Diesel & DijaK?

I think that people might actually by Lethal and Dijak as a team that could possibly win the tag titles. No one will ever believe that J. Diesel could possibly win the tag titles.

ok, maybe not title contenders, but at least as a legit tag team, at least Briscoe bloodfeud level

Wow. This is taking a lot longer than I ever meant it to. Still only 2/3 done.

FANTASTICAMANIA TOUR:
Not really sure what I’d do other than have one day be headlined by Los Ingobernables taking on the trio of Shibata, Goto, & a third guy (probably Sakuraba), with Shibata pinning Rush. Actually, you could probably build quite a bit of the tour around Los Ingobernables matches if you bring all five guys. Also, you could probably get a good Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Title defense out of Roppongi Vice (we’ll pretend they retained at the Dome) and a pair of good CMLL babyfaces. Also, we have a couple of matches specifically designed to show off how good Cavernario is. We also get some good wins for Mascara Dorada, and as a result of this, we announce him as the next challenger to the Jr. Heavyweight Title.
On the ROH side of things, I am assuming that Cole and O’Reilly are still feuding, and that The Kingdom used nefarious means to screw the Bucks out of the tag titles at Final Battle.

ROH JANUARY SHOW IN NORTH CAROLINA (should be a TV Taping):
ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: The Kingdom(c) (w/Maria Kanellis & Adam Cole) vs. Michael Elgin & Tomohiro Ishii-
Elgin and Ishii are awarded this title shot for doing so well in the World Tag League. Kyle O’Reilly comes out to chase Adam Cole away, but the Kingdom still manage to win by nefarious means.

AJ Styles successfully defends the ROH World Title.

ROH JANUARY SHOW IN GEORGIA: I’m pretty sure this show isn’t a TV taping, which is good because this stuff would just bog down the TV with stuff that doesn’t need to be focused on in the PPV build.
MICHAEL ELGIN, TOMOHIRO ISHII, & KYLE O’REILLY vs. THE KINGDOM (w/Maria Kanellis)-
Kingdom wins clean, pinning either Elgin or Ishii.

PROVING GROUND MATCH: ROH TV Champion Jay Lethal (w/the House of Truth) vs. Alex Shelley-
The match goes to a time-limit draw, earning Shelley a future shot at the TV Title.

The Knights of the Rising Dawn perform some manner of dastardly heel act against whichever babyfaces they are feuding with. A troop of other babyfaces come out to make the save, led by Sabin’s for tag team partner Alex Shelley.

TOGI MAKABE, TIGER MASK, & BOBBY FISH vs. BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles & Young Bucks)-
Makabe pins one of the Bucks for the clean win, then challenges AJ Styles to an ROH World Title match against him in Japan.

New Beginning 2016 Tour:
I’ll assume that Tiger Mask is in the US defending his NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title, but that ROH is bringing a bunch of guys over to help promote their two shows in Japan this month. I’m also assuming that there will be quite a bit of cooperation going on between ROH and New Japan to build up both these shows, the ROH shows in Japan later in the month, the ROH Anniversary Show, and which talents are where for WrestleMania weekend.

NEW BEGINNING 2016 PART 1:
1. RYUSUKE TAGUCHI & YOHEI KOMATSTU vs. JAY WHITE & DAVID FINLAY JR. vs. reDRagon-
Taguchi & Komatsu win clean, pinning Finlay.

2. RODERICK STRONG vs. YOSHI-HASHI-
Roderick murderizes YOSHI-HASHI

3. TOGI MAKABE & TOMOAKI HONMA vs. BULLET CLUB (Kenny Omega & Cody Hall)-
Babyfaces win clean when Makabe pins Omega.

4. JAY LETHAL vs. JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER-
Lethal wins clean

5. TIME SPLITTERS vs. MASCARA DORADA & BARABRO CAVERNARIO-
Shelley and KUSHIDA seem to be completely on the same page after their big match against each other at the Tokyo Dome. Lucha guys win when Cavernario pins Shelley.

6. KATSUYORI SHIBATA vs. LA SOMBRA-
Shibata wins clean, pinning Sombra.

7. MICHAEL ELGIN, TOMOHIRO ISHII, & THE BRISOCES vs. THE BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles, Tama Tonga, Bad Luck Fale, & Karl Anderson)-
Babyfaces win clean when Briscoes pin Tonga

8. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Roppongi Vice(c) vs. The Young Bucks-
RPG Vice def. Bucks to retain in the Bucks’s contractually obligated rematch.

9. NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kota Ibushi(c) vs. Doc Gallows-
Kota pins Gallows clean, getting back his win from Power Struggle.

10. HIROYOSHI TENZAN & SATOSHI KOJIMA vs. HIROSHI TANAHASHI & KAZUCHIKA OKADA (w/Gedo)-
This match is built around the idea of two of New Japan’s all-time greats having to team up just one month after having an epic Tokyo Dome main event in order to take on the greatest tag team in New Japan’s history. Ten-Koji use their tag team experience to pick up the big (upset?) win when Kojima pins Tanahashi.

11. SHINSUKE NAKAMURA vs. TETSUYA NAITO (w/La Sombra)-
Nakamura wins clean

(Whoops. I totally forgot to book Goto for this show. Let’s pretend we’ve shipped him off to CMLL for a quick trip, culminating in him defending his IWGP Interncontinental Title.)

NEW BEGINNING 2016 PART 2:
1. BULLET CLUB (Cody Hall & Kenny Omega) vs. BARBARO CAVERNARIO & TOMOAKI HONMA-
Babyfaces win clean when Cavernario pins Omega.

2. HIROYOSHI TENZAN & SATOSHI KOJIMA vs. BLUE JUSTICE (Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi)-
Ten-Koji win clean.

3. RODERICK STRONG vs. TOMOHIRO ISHII-
They go to a time limit draw, but just spend the whole match beating the f*ck out of each other (which should hopefully help to get Roddy over to the Japanese crowd)

4. ROH TV TITLE MATCH: Jay Lethal(c) vs. Alex Shelley-
This match was set up at the ROH show in January. Lethal wins cleanly to retain the title.

5. HIROSHI TANAHASHI, RYUSUKE TAGUCHI, & YOHEI KOMATSU vs. CHAOS (Toru Yano & Roppongi Vice)-
Tanahashi pins Yano clean. After the match, Tanahashi puts Komatsu over on the mic, saying he is no longer a young boy.

6. HIROOKI GOTO & KATSUYORI SHIBATA vs. LOS INGOBERNABLES (Tetsuya Naito & La Sombra)-
Sombra and Naito def. Shibata & Goto when Naito pins Shibata after a chair shot

7. BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles, Young Bucks, Doc Gallows, & Karl Anderson) vs. ROH (The Briscoes, Michael Elgin, & reDRagon)-
Team ROH wins clean when the Brisoces hit Anderson with a Spike Jay Driller and Jay pins him.

8. NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kota Ibushi(c) vs. Togi Makabe
Kota wins clean to retain in a Tokyo Dome rematch.

9. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: KUSHIDA(c) (w/Alex Shelley) vs. Mascara Dorada-
KUSHIDA wins clean to retain.

IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okada(c) (w/Gedo) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura-
Okada wins clean to retain, getting his win back from the G1.

HONOR-TASTICA MANIA: NIGHT 1
1. TAKAAKI WATANABE vs. RYUSUKE TAGUCHI (w/Yohei Komatsu)-
Taguchi wins clean.

2. reDRagon vs. THE KINGDOM (w/Maria Kanellis)-
reDRagon wins clean.

3. KUSHIDA vs. ACH-
KUSHIDA wins clean

4. THE BRISCOES vs. MICHAEL ELGIN & TOMOHIRO ISHII-
Briscoes win clean

5. RODERICK STRONG vs. KOTA IBUSHI vs. KENNY OMEGA-
Roddy vs. Kota vs. Omega-
Omega convinces Kota to team up against Roddy for old time’s sake, but Omega of course betrays him eventually. Roddy picks up the win, pinning NEVER Openweight Champion Kota Ibushi.

6. TOGI MAKABE, ALEX SHELLEY, MATT SYDAL, & JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER vs. BULLET CLUB (Anderson, Gallows, & Young Bucks)-
Babyfaces win clean when Makabe pins one of the Bucks.

7. KNIGHTS OF THE RISING DAWN vs. CHAOS (Roppongi Vice & Kazuchika Okada) (w/Gedo)-
Chaos wins clean when Okada pins somebody.

8. FOUR CORNER SURVIVAL MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Adam Cole (w/the Kingdom) vs. Jay Lethal (w/Truth Martini)-
How’s that for a f*cking main event?!
Lethal pins Cole clean to win the match.

HONOR-TASTICA MANIA: NIGHT 2
1. JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER vs. TAKAAKI WATANABE-
Liger wins clean. This show is looking to be quite long, so I think I’d keep this one pretty short.

2. MATT SYDAL vs. KENNY OMEGA (w/Bullet Club)-
Sydal wins clean
3. KUSHIDA vs. MATT TAVEN (w/the Kingdom)-
KUSHIDA wins clean, making Taven tap out to the Hoverboard Lock.

4. YOUNG BUCKS vs. ACH & RODERICK STRONG-
In the interests of keeping things a little short, I’d just tell them to g balls to the wall for about ten minutes and then take it home. Roddy & ACH win clean when Roddy pins one of the Bucks.

5. THE ADDICTION (w/Chris Sabin) vs. MICHAEL ELGIN & TOMOHIRO ISHII-
Addiction win clean.

6. ALEX SHELLEY (w/KUSHIDA) vs. CHRIS SABIN (w/the Addiction)-
Sabin wins pretty much cleanly.

7. NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kota Ibushi(c) vs. Michael Bennett (w/the Kingdom)-
Kota wins clean to retain (we set this up on the ROH website with Kota issuing some sort of open challenge and Bennett responding).

8. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Roppongi Vice(c) vs. reDRagon-
RPG Vice win clean to retain, pinning Bobby Fish.

9. IWGP TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Bullet Club(c) (Anderson & Gallows) vs. The Briscoes-
Anderson & Gallows win

KAZUCHIKA OKADA (w/Gedo) vs. ADAM COLE (w/The Kingdom)-
Okada wins clean

10. ROH TV TITLE MATCH: Jay Lethal(c) (w/Truth Martini) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura-
Lethal wins clean to retain the title, getting his win back from Power Struggle. This is played up in Japan as Nakamura once again failing in a title match, as he has now done seven straight times since losing the IC Title to Goto back in May.

11. ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: AJ Styles(c) vs. Togi Makabe-
AJ wins clean to retain the title.

ROH 14th ANNIVERSARY SHOW:
Cole vs. O’Reilly feud continues
AJ successfully retains ROH World Title
Young Bucks def. Kingdom to win the ROH World Tag Team Titles.
MICHAEL ELGIN vs. TOMOHIRO ISHII-
The story going into this match is that they are disappointed with their recent string of tag team losses and decided that they need to “toughen up”… and the best way to do that is to face each other (yes, I am basically stealing the angle the Briscoes did after they lost the tag titles in their first defense back in 2007).

The Anniversary Show is headlined by a HUGE triple main event:
1. The return of Minoru Suzuki, who has vowed to dominate the promotion just like he did to NOAH last year. He faces off against Shinsuke Nakamura
2. Instead of the traditional Anniversary Show match where the IWGP Heavyweight Champion faces the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion in a non-title match, this year we will get a tag match in which the IWGP Heavyweight Champion and the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion will team up to take on the IWGP Intercontinental Champion and the NEVER Openweight Champion.
3. Shibata vs. Naito, one-on-one… in the first STEEL CAGE MATCH in New Japan in over a decade!

(I am assuming that AJ, reDRagon, Elgin, Ishii and the Young Bucks will be in the US and/or Mexico for this tour)

NJPW 44TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW:
1. TAKAAKI WATANABE vs. YOHEI KOMATSU (w/Ryusuke Taguchi)-
Komatsu wins clean. Watanabe looks upset with his loss.

2. BARBARO CAVERNARIO vs. KENNY OMEGA-
Cavernario wins clean.

3. HIROYOSHI TENZAN & SATOSHI KOJIMA vs. BULLET CLUB (Tama Tonga, & Bad Luck Fale)-
Ten-Koji win clean.

4. TORU YANO vs. TOMOAKI HONMA-
This will either be a disaster or hilarious, depending on what the crowd is feeling. Yano goes over by cheating because he’s Yano.

5. KAZUSHI SAKURABA vs. CODY HALL (w/Bullet Club)-
Cody wins after Bullet Club interference (the announcers obviously think this is crap, but use it as an opportunity to point out that the cage match stipulation means that no such crap will happen in the main event.

We get some sort of segment where Anderson and Gallows declare New Japan to be old crippled. Longtime New Japan stalwarts Yuji Nagata and Manabu Nakanishi take great offense to this. They come out to defend New Japan’s honor and manage to goad Anderson and Gallows into putting the tag titles on the line right now…

6. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Bullet Club(c) (Anderson & Gallows) vs. Blue Justice (Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi)-
Bullet Club win by cheating.

7. TOGI MAKABE vs. LA SOMBRA (w/Tetsuya Naito)-
Sombra wins via interference from Naito. The announcers remind us that this won’t happen when Naito faces Shibata in a steel cage later on tonight.

8. ALEX SHELLEY & MASCARA DORADA vs. HIROSHI TANAHASHI & RYUSUKE TAGUCHI (w/Yohei Komatsu)-
Tanahashi pins Dorada clean.

9. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Roppongi Vice(c) vs. Liger Mask-
The build is around these two longtime NJPW Jr. Heavyweight stars trying to win the titles together. Roppongi Vice win clean, pinning Liger.

10. SHINSUKE NAKAMURA vs. MINORU SUZUKI (w/TAKA Michinoku)-
Suzuki wins clean, choking Nakamura out with the Saka Otoshi. The Suzuki-Gun banner is then draped over Nakamura

11. KOTA IBUSHI & HIROOKI GOTO vs. KUSHIDA & KAZUCHIKA OKADA (w/Gedo)-
They go to a thirty-minute time-limit draw so none of the champions have to be pinned (and hopefully to also make them all look like they are of equal importance).

12. STEEL CAGE MATCH: Tetsuya Naito vs. Katsuyori Shibata-
Shibata wins clean, finally getting his revenge on Naito.

NEW JAPAN CUP BUILD:
I am one again assuming that AJ, reDRagon, Elgin and the Young Bucks will be in the US for this tour as well as for Invasion Attack. Also, Alex Shelley will be in the US working for ROH as well).
It is announced that as a result of defeating Naito in their big steel cage match, Shibata will receive an IWGP Heavyweight Title match at Invasion Attack. With this math already announced, Shibata pulls out of the tournament to focus on training for this big opportunity.
In the first round of the tournament, Cody Hall once again defeat Sakuraba because of Bullet Club interference. Cody loses his second-round match, and after this happens, Sakuraba comes out to challenge Cody to a match at Invasion Attack. Cody does not give a response.
At some point in the tournament, Ishii defeats Ibushi to set up a NEVER Title match for Invasion Attack.
Nakamura announces that if he wins, he will challenge for “his” IC Title

NEW JAPAN CUP FINALS: Tetsuya Naito vs. Shinsuke Nakamura-
We get a ref bump and a visual pin for Nakamura, but Naito cheats to pick up the win. To further be an asshole, he announces that HE will challenge for the IC Title instead of Nakamura.

It is announced that Cody Hall will be going to ROH for WrestleMania weekend and thus won’t be at Invasion Attack. The storyline is that he is dodging Sakuraba because he knows he can’t beat him fair and square.

INVASION ATTACK 2016:
1. LIGER MASK vs. TAKAAKI WATANABE & TOMOAKI HONMA-
Liger Mask win clean when Tiger Mask pins Watanabe.

2. YUJI NAGATA, MANABU NAKANISHI, & KAZUSHI SAKURABA vs. BULLET CLUB (Kenny Omega, Tama Tonga, & Bad Luck Fale)-
Babyfaces win clean when Nagata makes Omega tag out.

3. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Roppongi Vice(c) vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Yohei Komatsu-
RPG Vice win clean to retain, but the announcers put over what a good job Komatsu does.

4. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: KUSHIDA(c) vs. Barbaro Cavernario-
KUSHIDA wins clean.

5. HIROSHI TANAHASHI vs. LA SOMBRA-
Tanahashi wins clean, but we give them time to hopefully put on something special.

6. SHINSUKE NAKAMURA vs. TOGI MAKABE-
Nakamura wins clean

7. NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kota Ibushi(c) vs. Tomohiro Ishii-
Kota wins clean to retain.

8. IWGP TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Bullet Club(c) (Gallows & Anderson) vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima)-
Bullet Club win clean to retain.
9. IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Hirooki Goto(c) vs. Tetsuya Naito (w/La Sombra)-
Naito wins not so cleanly after a distraction of some sort by Sombra to become the new IWGP Intercontinental Champion.

10. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okada(c) (w/Gedo) vs. Katsuyori Shibata-
Okada wins clean to retain the title.

ROH SUPERCARD OF HONOR X:
Adam Cole def. AJ Styles to win the ROH World Title
Young Bucks def. The Kingdom in a big gimmicky blow-off match to retain the ROH World Titles
Chris Sabin def. Alex Shelley via cheating.
Cody Hall def. Donovan Dijak

NJPW EARLY MAY 2016 PPV:
1. JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER, TIGER MASK, MATT SYDAL, & TAKAAKI WATANABE vs. RYUSUKE TAGUCHI, YOHEI KOMATSU, JAY WHITE, & ACH-
ACH pins Watanabe.

2. YOSHI-HASHI & CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN vs. K.E.S.-
K.E.S. win clean, pinning Captain New Japan.

3. RODERICK STRONG & TOGI MAKABE vs. THE KINGDOM (Taven & Bennett) (w/Maria Kanellis)-
Roddy and Makabe get the win, pinning Bennett.

4. YOUNG BUCKS vs. TIME SPLITTERS-
Bucks win clean, pinning Shelley.

5. LA SOMBRA (w/Tetsuya Natio) vs. TOMOAKI HONMA-
Sombra wins clean

6. MICHAEL ELGIN & TOMOHIRO ISHII vs. HIROYOSHI TENZAN & SATOSHI KOJIMA-
Elgin & Ishii win clean when Ishii pins Tenzan.

7. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Roppongi Vice(c) vs. Mascara Dorada & BUSHI-
Ropping Vice win clean to retain.

8. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Bullet Club(c) (Anderson & Gallows) vs. Blue Justice (Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi)-
Bullet Club win clean to retain

9. HIROSHI TANAHASHI, KATSUYORI SHIBATA, HIROSHI TANAHASHI, KAZUSHI SAKURABA, & KOTA IBUSHI vs. BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles, Bad Luck Fale, Kenny Omega, Tama Tonga, & Cody Hall)-
Sakuraba has Cody almost tapping multiple times but other Bullet Club members break up the submissions. Nakamura picks up the win, pinning Omega.

10. IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Tetsuya Naito(c) (w/La Sombra) vs. Hirooki Goto (w/Katsuyori Shibata)-
The build to this match been Naito bragging that he succeeded and won a major title on the same night that Shibata failed to do so. Shibata has vowed to be at ringside to ensure that Sombra doesn’t pull any bullsh*t so that his friend Goto can have a fair match. Sombra does indeed try to do something, which results in Shibata chasing him away. Naito goes on to cleanly retain his title.

11. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okada(c) (w/Gedo) vs. Go Shiozaki-
Okada wins clean to retain.

ROH-NEW JAPAN SHOWS:
SHOW 1:
ACH VS. KENNY OMEGA-
ACH wins clean
MICHAEL ELGIN & TOMOHIRO ISHII vs. BULLET CLUB (Gallows & Anderson)-
Elgin & Ishii win, setting up an IWGP Tag Team Title match at some point in the future.
ROH WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Young Bucks(c) vs. Kota Ibushi & KUSHIDA-
This match is taking place because back at the ROH shows in Japan in February when the Kingdom were still the tag champs, each of these guys defeated a member of the Kingdom, so now they are being teamed up for a tag title shot. The match goes to a 45-minute time-limit draw.

ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: Adam Cole(c) vs. AJ Styles-
Cole wins clean in AJ’s return match.

SHOW 2:
KYLE O’REILLY vs. KENNY OMEGA-
Kyle wins clean.

NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kota Ibushi(c) vs. Roderick Strong-
Kota wins clean to retain. This match was set up back in February when Roddy pinned Kota.

SHOW 3:
ROH WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Young Bucks(c) vs. Roderick Strong & Togi Makabe-
This was set up by Makabe getting some pins on the Bucks during the winter. Roddy is his partner because 1) Roddy makes any match awesome, 2) Roddy and Makabe just beat former ROH World Tag Team Champions The Kingdom, which happened because 3) we want Roddy to represent ROH in the G1 this year, so we are putting him in matches where he will be able to impress New Japan.
The Bucks win clean to retain pinning Makabe.

We get a segment where Kenny Omega calls out his former tag team partner Kota Ibushi. Omega demands that Kota give him a NEVER Title shot. Kota agrees to do so.
NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kota Ibushi(c) vs. Kenny Omega-
The announcers put over the fact that Kenny has lost all of his matches so far this tour (and, in fact, all year) and is getting desperate. He needs to make a splash, and so he is calling out the guy he thinks he knows the best- and thus has the best chance of beating. Kota beats him cleanly.

NJPW LATE MAY 2016 PPV:
1. RYUSUKE TAGUCHI & YOHEI KOMATSU vs. LIGER MASK-
Taguchi & Komatsu win clean when Komatsu pins Tiger Mask.

Omega calls out Watanabe-
2. TAKAAKI WATANABE vs. KENNY OMEGA-
Watanabe picks up the big upset victory for his first win since his return from excursion.

3. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Roppingi Vice(c) vs. some random team from NOAH-
Roppongi Vice win clean to retain

4. RODERICK STRONG & TOMOAKI HONMA vs. LOS INGOBERNABLES (La Sombra & Rush)-
Roddy pins Rush.

5. HIROYOSHI TENZAN & SATOSHI KOJIMA vs. HIROSHI TANAHASHI & YUJI NAGATA-
The story is that Tanahashi wants his win back from being defeated by Ten-Koji (and Kojima specifically) back in February. This time he is teaming with his former GHC Tag Team Chapionship partner Nagata in the hopes that he will have better luck than he did when he teamed with Okada. Tanahashi & Nagata pick up the win when Tanahashi pins Tenzan.

6. MICHAEL ELGIN, TOMOHIRO ISHII, KOTA IBUSHI, & KAZUSHI SAKURABA vs. BULLET CLUB (Anderson, Gallows, Tama Tonga, & Cody Hall)-
Sakuraba has Cody almost tapping multiple times but other Bullet Club members break up the submissions. Babyfaces win when Elgin pin Gallows.

7. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: KUSHIDA(c) (w/Alex Shelley) vs. ACH-
KUSHIDA wins clean

8. TOGI MAKABE vs. BAD LUCK FALE (w/Bullet Club)-
Fale wins clean.

9. HIROOKI GOTO & reDRagon vs. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Jado, & Gedo)-
Goto pins Jado.

10. KATSUYORI SHIBATA vs. AJ STYLES (w/Bullet Club)-
Shibata wins clean. Naito is on commentary and claims that Shibata tried to interfere in his match with Goto at the least PPV because Shibata is jealous of his success.

11. IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Tetsuya Naito(c) (w/La Sombra) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura-
The story of the match is that Nakamura is out to win “his” title back, and he had a visual pin on Naito in the New Japan Cup finals before Naito cheated to beat him. Naito def. Nakamura clean to retain the title.

Re: BRM Books Some New Japan Stuff

Post by Big Red Machine » Oct 14th, '15, 16:07

BEST OF THE SUPER JUNIORS:
Rather than the way that New Japan normally separates the blocks, I’d actually have everyone in the same block as their tag partner. So the blocks are…
Block A:
Nick Jackson
Matt Jackson
Omega
KUSHIDA
Shelley
Matt Sydal
Taguchi
Komatsu

Block B:
Romero
Trent
Kyle
Fish
Mascara Dorada
Liger
Tiger Mask
ACH

The important block to focus on is Block A.
The first day would open with the Jackson brothers going to a time-limit draw. It would also feature Taguchi defeating Omega, Shelley beating Komatsu, and would close off with the big surprise of Sydal pining the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA.

The various stories in the block would progress thusly:
Sydal starts off strong, first beating KUSHIDA, then picking up wins over Komatsu, and Omega, loses to Taguchi, but then comes back with back to back with a win over Matt Jackson on day 7, setting up for his showdown with Matt on day 8
KUSHIDA recovers from his day 1 loss by beating his tag team partner Alex Shelley on day 2, then going on to beat Komatsu, Omega, and both Jacksons.
Shelley loses to KUSHIDA on day 2, but wins the rest of his matches leading into the final day.
The Jacksons each get wins over Komatsu, Taguchi, and Omega, but lose their other matches.
Taguchi loses to the Jacksons, and Shelley, but defeats Omega, Sydal, and Komatsu.
Omega and Komatsu both lose all of their matches on the first seven days. Komatsu’s loss on day 7 is to his partner/mentor Taguchi. Komatsu cuts a promo saying he feels his poor showing so far has let Taguchi down, not rewarding the faith Taguchi has shown in him, but Taguchi gives him an inspirational speech.

Going into the final day of block competition, the following wrestlers have a chance of winning the A Block:
KUSHIDA (10 points)- needs one of the following:
-a victory of his own
-a draw in his match plus a loss for Shelley
ALEX SHELLEY (10 points)- needs one of the following:
-a victory of his own plus a loss or draw for KUSHIDA
-a draw in his match and a loss for KUSHIDA
MATT SYDAL (8 points)- needs a win of his own plus a losses by both KUSHIDA and Shelley, which would create a three-way tie with ten points and each wrestler having the tiebreaker against of the other two.

The story in Block B is the improbable run to the top by the 51 year-old Jushin Liger, who faces off against Rocky Romero to determine the winner of Block B. Also of note is the fact that Liger and Tiger Mask have both defeated Trent and Tiger Mask has already defeated Romero, so if Liger wins, not only will he win the block, but he will set his team up for an IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Title match.

BEST OF THE SUPER JUNIORS: DAY 8
BLOCK A MATCH: Yohei Komatsu vs. Kenny Omega-
Komatsu pulls off the upset victory in a battle of wrestlers still looking to pick up their first win of the tournament.

BLOCK A MATCH: Matt Sydal vs. Nick Jackson-
Sydal wins clean, keeping his hopes of forcing a three-way playoff for the block finals alive.

BLOCK A MATCH: Alex Shelley vs. Matt Jackson-
Shelley wins clean, shattering Sydal’s hopes and putting Shelley temporarily on top of the block by two points.

BLOCK A MATCH: Ryusuke Taguchi vs. KUSHIDA-
KUSHIDA needs a victory to win his block. They go the full time limit, adding in a bunch of nearfalls (especially for KUSHIDA) towards to the tease the victory.

BLOCK B MATCH: Jushin Liger vs. Rocky Romero-
Liger wins clean to win the block.

BEST OF THE SUPER JUNIORS FINAL DAY:
1. TOMOAKI HONMA & CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN vs. DAVID FINLAY JR. & JAY WHITE-
Honma pins Finlay Jr.

2. BULLET CLUB (Gallows & Anderson) vs. CHAOS (Toru Yano & YOSHI-HASHI)-
Gallows & Anderson win clean.

3. FOUR WAY TAG TEAM MATCH: Roppongi Vice vs. Young Bucks vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Yohei Komatsu vs. reDRagon-
Taguchi pins Romero clean after Taguchi & Komatsu hit their finisher.

4. TETSUYA NAITO TAKES ON A SERIES OF THE YOUNG BOYS-
Naito beats them cleanly, and his a huge dick the whole time. After the match, he cuts a promo on Shibata. Naito points out that Shibata still dresses like a young boy, and claims that just like all of these young boys, Shibata will never be a top champion in New Japan like he is.

5. HIROSHI TANAHASHI, YUJI NAGATA, MANABU NAKANISHI, ACH, & MASCARA DORADA vs. MATT SYDAL, HIROYOSHI TENZAN, SATOSHI KOJIMA, TOGI MAKABE, & TIGER MASK-
Sydal pins Dorada clean.

6. KOTA IBUSHI, KUSHIDA, MICHAEL ELGIN, TOMOHIRO ISHII, & KAZUSHI SAKURABA vs. BULLET CLUB (AJ Styles, Bad Luck Fale, Kenny Omega, Tama Tonga, & Cody Hall) (w/the Young Bucks, Gallows, & Anderson)-
Sakuraba has Cody almost tapping multiple times but other Bullet Club members break up the submissions. Bullet Club picks up the win when Fale pins Kota after a Super Back Luck Fall. We sell it like Kota is seriously hurt and medical people come out to check on him and call for a stretcher.
Then SUZUKI-GUN shows up, and Minoru Suzuki says that not only will Suzuki-Gun dominate New Japan, but they will dominate Bullet Club as well. He challenges AJ to a match at Dominion. AJ accepts, and we get a big confrontation between the two stables… except for Kenny Omega, who has slipped off to check on the condition of his former friend and tag team partner, Ibushi.

7. KATSUYORI SHIBATA & HIROOKI GOTO vs. CHAOS (Shinsuke Nakamura & Kazuchika Okada) (w/Gedo)-
Goto pins Okada clean in the middle of the ring. After the match, as Shibata is walking to the back, Naito runs up from behind and hits him in the back of the head with the IC Title belt.

8. BEST OF THE SUPER JUNIORS FINALS: Alex Shelley vs. Jushin “Thunder” Liger-
Shelley wins clean to win Best of the Super Juniors.

2. KAZUSHI SAKURABA vs. CODY HALL (w/Bullet Club)-
Sakuraba wins clean, finally making Cody tap out with no one to save him.

3. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Roppongi Vice(c) vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Yohei Komatsu-
Taguchi and Komatsu win the titles when Komatsu pins Tent after hitting him with his finisher, clean in the middle of the ring.

4. SHINSUKE NAKAMURA vs. HIROYOSHI TENZAN-
Nakamura wins clean

5. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Bullet Club(c) (Anderson & Gallows) vs. Michael Elgin & Tomohiro Ishii-
Elgin & Ishii win clean to end the Bullet Club’s fifteen month-long reign as champions.

6. HIROSHI TANAHASHI vs. SATOSHI KOJIMA-
Tanahashi gets his win back, pinning Kojima clean.

7. NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kota Ibushi(c) vs. Bad Luck Fale (w/Bullet Club)-
Kota wins clean to retain.

8. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: KUSHIDA(c) vs. Alex Shelley-
Shelley beats KUSHIDA to win the title with help from the Bullet Club, which Shelley reveals that he has joined. The Bullet Club come out and have a big party. Omega shows up after all of the others and looks very surprised by this turn of events.

9. AJ STYLES (w/Bullet Club) vs. MINORU SUZUKI (w/Suzuki-Gun)-
Both factions are quickly sent to the back, and we get a clean match with Suzuki winning.

10. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okada (w/Gedo) vs. Hirooki Goto-
Okada finally manages to defeat Goto and retain the title.

11. IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Tetsuya Naito (w/La Sombra) vs. Katsuyori Shibata (w/Hirooki Goto)-
Shibata wins clean to become the new IWGP Intercontinental Champion.

In the event of a tie (and there are many possible combinations of Tenzan, Nakamura, AJ, Goto/Gallows, and Shibata/Ishii that could happen), the wrestlers with the best record against the field will win the block. OR he draws his match AND Okada draws his match AND Tanahashi wins his match
If Okada and Ibushi are the only two tied for the lead, they will have a playoff at the end of the night to determine the winner. If anyone else is tied with them, it would mean that Ibushi has the best record vs. the field, and thus would win the block.

2. TORU YANO, MANABU NAKANISHI, & YUJI NAGATA vs. JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER, TIGER MASK, & TAKAAKI WATANABE-

Ibushi wins clean to retain the title and get his win back from the G1.

10. HIROSHI TANAHASHI & CAPTAIN NEW JAPAN vs. KAZUCHIKA OKADA & GEDO-
Tanahashi pins Gedo clean.

11. IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Katsuyori Shibata(c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura-
Shibata wins clean to retain and get his win back from the G1. In his post-match interview, Nakamura is very sad that he has once again failed to win back “his” belt, and vows to use the G1 Briefcase to do so at the Tokyo Dome is he is able to successfully defend it.

DESTRUCTION 2016 PART 2:
1. TORU YANO, MANABU NAKANISHI, YUJI NAGATA, RYUSUKE TAGUCHI, & YOHEI KOMATSU vs. JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER, TIGER MASK, KAZUSHI SAKURABA, TOMOAKI HONMA & TAKAAKI WATANABE-
Yano once again pins Watanabe after a low blow and roll-up combo. Watanabe tries to attack Yano after the match but is restrained by all of the veterans, who tell him to chill out.

9. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okda(c) (w/Gedo) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi-
Okada wins clean to retain, getting his win back from the G1. Their post-match handshake is interrupted by Minoru Suzuki, who reminds us that he choked Okada out on the final day of the G1… but before he takes Okada’s Title, he says that he wants to avenge his biggest loss, which took place at King of Pro Wrestling 2012 against Tanahashi, so he challenges Tanahashi to match at this year’s King of Pro Wrestling .

KING OF PRO WRESTLING 2016:
1. reDRagon & DAVID FINLAY JR. vs. BULLET CLUB (Bad Luck Fale, Doc Gallows, & Cody Hall)-

2. HIROYOSHI TENZAN, SATOSHI KOJIMA, YUJI NAGATA, MANABU NAKANISHI, & SHO TANAKA vs. CHAOS (Roppongi Vice, YOSHI-HASHI, Toru Yano, & Gedo)-
The match breaks down into a clusterd*ck, at which point Yano hits Tanaka with a low blow, but Takaaki Watanabe sneaks out to the ring and hits Yano with his finisher, then dumps Tanaka on top of him. When the ref turns around, he sees Tanaka on top of Yano and counts the pin. Some of the veterans yell at Watanabe on their way backstage.

3. BUSHI vs. KENNY OMEGA (w/Bullet Club)-
BUSHI wins cleanly and quickly. After the match, the Bullet Club kick Omega out for losing all of the time and for being weak and showing compassion to their enemies like he did with Ibushi back at the final day of Best of the Super Juniors. They beat the sh*t out of Omega, ending it with the Bucks giving him a Meltzer Driver onto the floor. As Omega is being stretchered off AJ and Anderson cut a promo telling BUSHI (who has by now long since run backstage) that he can have Omega’s spot in the Bullet Club if he wants it.

4. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Michael Elgin & Tomohiro Ishii(c) vs. War Machine-
Ideally this would be set up on some ROH shows, either with War Machine beating Elgin & Ishii non-title or in separate singles matches (or, if Ishii can’t come over, with both War Machine guys pinning Elgin in singles matches), but at worst we can just say that War Machine have been very impressive and New Japan has decided that they deserve a title shot.
Elgin & Ishii win clean to retain.

5. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Young Bucks(c) (w/Bullet Club) vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Yohei Komatsu-
Bucks win clean to retain, pinning Taguchi.

7. G1 CLIMAX BRIEFCASE MATCH: Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs. Tetsuya Naito-
Nakamura wins clean to retain, despite Naito’s best efforts to cheat.

8. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Alex Shelley(c) (w/Bullet Club) vs. KUSHIDA-
Bullet Club interferes in the match, which leads to others (particularly Shibata, Nagata, Sakuraba, & Ten-Koji, & Ibushi) running out to stop them. Just when things look like they are about to even out, BUSHI runs out and attacks KUSHIDA, joining the Bullet Club and allowing Shelley to retain his title.

10. MINORU SUZUKI vs. HIROSHI TANAHASHI-
Suzuki wins clean, choking Tanahashi out with the Saka Otoshi.

11. IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Katsuyori Shibata(c) vs. AJ Styles-
Bullet Club is barred from ringside, but AJ still manages to cleanly defeat Shibata and win the title.

12. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okada(c) (w/Gedo) vs. Togi Makabe-
Okada wins clean to retain.

KUSHIDA makes Shelley tap out to win the tournament.

Also, on the first night of the tour, Ten-Koji defeat Elgin & Ishii in a non-title match to set up a title match at the PPV.
Also on these shows, Watanabe cuts promos on the veterans who he says are supporting Yano (by stopping him from attacking Yano at Destruction and by scolding him after he cost Yano the match at King of Pro Wrestling). He points out that Yano is a dirty cheater and does the same type of stuff that people get angry at Los Ingobernables or Bullet Club for doing.

POWER STRUGGLE 2016:

Bullet club almost interferes early on, but some other babyfaces (Nagata, Nakanishi, Ten-Koji) come out from backstage to help reinforce the babyface side. Shelley goes on to win clean to retain.

8. NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Karl Anderson(c) (w/Bullet Club) vs. Kota Ibushi (w/other babyfaces)-

9. G1 CLIMAX BRIEFCASE MATCH: Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs. Katsuyori Shibata-
Nakamura wins clean to retain the briefcase, getting his win back from Destruction.

10. IWGP JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Young Bucks(c) (w/Bullet Club) vs. Matt Sydal & KUSHIDA (w/Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, & Yuji Nagata)-
We get a quick scrum on the outside that results in everyone being barred from ringside. The Bucks eventually go on to win clean to retain the titles, pinning Sydal. After the match, the Bucks try to beat KUSHIDA down, but Kota Ibushi runs out with a chair to make the save before they can give him the Meltzer Driver onto the floor.

11. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okada(c) (w/Gedo) vs. Tetsuya Naito-
During the match we get a ref bump during which Naito tries to cheat by using a chair. Gedo tries to stop him, and while this does result in Gedo getting taken out with said chair, it also succeeds in buying Okada enough time to recover so that Naito can’t use the chair on him. Okada goes on to win the match with the Rainmaker to retain his title. After the match, Minoru Suzuki comes out of the crowd and jumps Okada from behind and injures his arm.

IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: AJ Stlyles(c) (w/Bullet Club) vs. Hirooki Goto (w/Katsuyori Shibata, Kota Ibushi, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, Matt Sydal, KUSHIDA, & Yuji Nagata)-
The other babyfaces prevent the Bullet Club from interfering, but AJ manages to win clean to retain the title and get his win back from the G1.

A few days later at the big post-show press conference, Nakamura is asked if he will still cash in the G1 Briefcase for an IC Title shot even though AJ will be the champion and Nakamura is 0-2 against him, with both losses being very high profile (this year’s G1, and a the ROH World Title match at last year’s WrestleKingdom). Nakamura cuts a big promo talking about how the past year and a half has been full of disappointments for him: First he lost his IC Title to Goto at Dontaku 2015 and failed to win it back, at both Dominion and Destruction. He lost to Tanahashi in the G1 finals. Then he failed to win the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Titles, failed to win the ROH World Title, failed to win the ROH TV Title and failed to win the IWGP Heavyweight Title. Then he lost in the Finals of the New Japan Cup, lost to Minoru Suzuki, and failed to win his IC Title back from both Naito and Shibata.
But since then he has put his G1 Briefcase on the line against Shibata, Naito, and Goto- the three guys who he failed to in the IC Title from- and he has beaten all of them. His road to redemption ends on January 4th at the Tokyo Dome when he will defeat AJ Styles to regain HIS IWGP Intercontinental Title.

Also at the press conference, we learn that Okada’s injury at the hands of Minoru Suzuki has forced him to pull out of the G1 Tag League. He will, however, return to action for January 4th, when he will defend the IWGP Heavyweight Title against Minoru Suzuki.
New Japan officials have found a replacement partner for YOSHI-HASHI: Tomoaki Honma

G1 TAG LEAGUE 2016:
I’m only booking Block A because I really am trying to stay sane. The only important things you need to know about Block B are:
- Takaaki Watanabe does a few run-ins, attacking Yano and costing his team some matches.
- When their teams meet, AJ Styles pins Nakamura clean to feed into the whole “Nakamura has never beaten AJ before” thing.
- Los Ingobernables finish in second place, accruing quite a few wins by nefarious means. One of these involved Naito using a foreign object to pin Masato Tanaka, while a second resulted in them defeating the tag champs.

2. SHO TANAKA vs. TORU YANO-

6. NO DISQUALIFIATIONS MATCH: Tetsuya Naito vs. Masato Takana-
Naito wins after Watanabe interferes. Assuming you have time for it on the PPV, Watanabe would cut a promo explaining his reasoning- most of the veterans are hypocrites for letting Yano get away with his sh*t, and Los Ingobernables realize this, so Watanabe respects them but doesn’t respect the other veterans.

7. NO TIME LIMIT MATCH: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Hirooki Goto-
Goto wins clean in twenty-five minutes with the Goto Shiki roll-up.

8. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Michael Elgin & Tomohiro Ishii(c) vs. Tomoaki Honma & YOSHI-HASHI-

10. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Kazuchika Okada(c) (w/Gedo) vs. Minoru Suzuki (w/Suzuki-Gun)-
Suzuki wins clean. While I’d be very hesitant to just completely repeat the 2015 Suzuki-Gun invades NOAH angle, you could probably do something a little similar with just Suzuki holding the top title.

Also going in to 2017, we have Tanahashi looking to get a win back against Marufuji, the beginning of another push for Goto, and somewhere probably starting in April or May, you can have Suzuki-Gun and Bullet Club start to clash.

Couldn’t help myself and just had to add more direction for 2017:
Shibata and AJ both still need rematches for the IC Title, and those are both huge matches. I’d probably have AJ lose to Nakamura at Invasion Attack while keeping Nakamura and Shibata apart until Dominion.
As for Omega and Ibushi, I’d have them hold the belts until May. The reason for this would be because the real goal for Ibushi is not for him to be a junior heavyweight, but rather for his gimmick to be a guy who can compete in both divisions at the same time (one goal of giving him the NEVER Openweight Title that I almost totally failed at was to have him defend the title against both heavyweights and junior heavyweights, but the only defense he had against a junior heavyweight was defending the belt against Kenny Omega at one of the ROH/NJPW shows in the US).
To this end, I’d want him to be one half of the junior heavyweight tag team champions while he competes in and wins the New Japan Cup in March, and then going for the IWGP Heavyweight Title at Invasion Attack. This would also let our junior heavyweight match at Invasion Attack be a #1 contendership match instead of the random title match (I’d give the Bucks and reDRagon the title shots at the February shows and let them work for ROH during Mania weekend instead of having them at Invasion Attack so they feel like fresh match-ups for whoever will win the #1 contenership match and take the titles from Ibushi & Omega in May).
I’d stick Ibushi in both Best of the Super Juniors AND the G1 this year, with him getting a win over whoever the NEVER Openweight Champion is at the time to set up for him winning the title back in September and try to do that title reign the right way this time. I think it’d be cool to have him compete in both the G1 Tag League and Super Junior Tag Team Tournament, have him take pins in both of them which would lead to the 2018 Tokyo Dome where he would defend the title in a three-way match against a heavyweight and a junior heavyweight at the same time.
