Lord Steven Regal vs. Goldberg

The story I think behind this is that Regal refused to job against Goldberg, but it put Goldberg in a weird position, because he still needed to look like an unstoppable beast. This is the result - a clusterfuck of weirdness.

I have heard about this before. Wasnt this what got Regal fired from WCW?

As I understand it, yes, this is exactly what got Regal fired. He, in Bischoff's own words, "made [Goldberg] look like a damned moron."

Regal has accomplished more in WWE so Bischoff is the moron in this case....
