Friday night's ratings showdown saw WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage tie in the 18-49 demo.

WWE's Supersized episode of SmackDown averaged 866,000 viewers on FS1, down 15.9 percent from the last time the show aired on that channel in December 2020. The episode, which was on FS1 due to game one of the MLB American League Championship Series airing on Fox, was two-and-a-half hours long. It took place from 8-10:30 p.m. Eastern time.

SmackDown drew a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 20 percent from the last time it aired on FS1. It finished third on the cable charts in that category.

Rampage averaged 578,000 viewers on TNT and also drew a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demo. It ranked fourth on the cable charts for the night, with SmackDown averaging 314,000 viewers in the demo and Rampage averaging 313,000.

During the 30 minutes where they went head-to-head, Rampage averaged 328,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo to SmackDown's 285,000.

As compared to the previous week, Rampage was up 15.1 percent in total viewers and up 41.2 percent in the demo. The show increasing more with younger viewers than the overall audience would be expected given that the previous week's episode went against greater sports competition.
