As I said though before, all that great talk about how Chyna herself going in but she didn't and hasn't. How funny would it be if they actually inducted her twice in the same class though...
They won’t. As mentioned before, this is the easiest way to induct Chyna without drawing too much attention on the other stuff.
This. She's got quite the sordid history, and that's without the Hunter/Steph issues. We know WWE hates having to discus drug overdose deaths, and they certainly don't want people asking porn questions, so getting her in as a part of a group splits the focus six ways rather than putting all of it on her.

And also has the benefit of quieting the long argument of when she’s going in, because I think 95% of wrestling fans will admit she probably deserves a spot.
Have A Nice Day!

None of that matters though. The Ultimate Warrior is in and was received as a hero so whatever! Lol .

Actually, I'd like to think they learned a lesson or two from the Warrior mess (the Heenan comments, the anti-gay comments, the controversy over the Warrior Award).

2/6 on the porn questions, Waltman is on the porno too. Thank the gods that Xavier has New Day and Paige has Team PCB, otherwise they'll never make it to the HOF

I never liked Chyna. But, I think the difference is that Waltman was just in the video, Xavier and Paige had a video leaked, but Chyna was an all-out Adult Film Industry actress. Hogan had a sextape "leaked", somebody posted Seth Rollins wiener on the internet, but in 20 years nobody is going to remember them for that without looking like an idiot... except for Brad Maddox... sorry, Brad. It was the most notable thing you ever did. But anyway, this was all stuff that got leaked. Chyna made a living off of it. There's a difference.

She was a "trailblazer" by WWE's narrative, they did this to themselves. She was absolutely terrible at everything except standing behind people with her arms folded. I'm open minded! I change my mind about stuff all the time - sometimes by the second! I'm literally the most indecisive person you've probably ever met, feel free to show me something that justifies all the support for her, and it better not be Anal Astronauts #43 because she was never that flexible in a WWE ring.

I think it has way more to do with the balance of who you are vs how far into the mainstream this stuff goes. Like Hogan... all that stuff came out, but he still gets his job back eventually because he's not "known" for being a piece of shit, he's known for being Hulkamania. Ultimately, I think this is the only way they can get Chyna in without risking a Fabulous Moolah fiasco.

As for the rest of the names, for me, it's hard to put any stock into the Hall of Fame of a scripted sport. It's not like there's ANYTHING to go off of to justify one's involvement. "Career Stats" aren't really a thing, wins and losses and so on... it comes down to one's opinion really. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake was my FAVORITE wrestler when I was a kid, and for that I think he deserves a spot. SOMEBODY out there felt like Koko B Ware should be in. Like was said before this, it's WWE's HOF, there's no voting... not even kayfabe within WWE... it's basically, as with everything else, dictated by Vince. So whatever, if get to watch a bunch of people in tuxedos be forced to listen to "Ass Man", we all win right?

I'd argue that DX was like Demolition to The Road Warriors when compared to The NWO, but given the stable's place in the resurgence of WWE in the Monday Night Wars, I personally do think the STABLE deserves it.

and this is how stuck in time WWE is, or i guess it could be all of the corporate stooges that are vince's age and control all major companies in the US. It's 2019, porn stars have been celebrities for the last, what? 20 years? Ron Jeremy, Jenna Jameson, Sasha Grey, they're all a whole lot bigger stars in the world than arguably, anyone that WWE has created, with the exception of the Rock. Porn, to the actual WWE fanbase, is not this taboo that is looked down upon.
Chyna is a legend in wrestling, her name is up there with the attitude era legends, and if WWE is afraid of getting backlash for casuals googling wrestler's past? then Hey! WWE it's 2019, there are FAAR worse things that we can uncover with simple google searches. racism, #metoo stories, home violence, bullying, child abuse, MURDER! WWE is worried about a woman doing porn for probably more money than she ever earned in WWE. Bunch of white wig wimps.

I rather say it's because of Stephanie's grudge than accept I live in the 40's. Vince probably lives in the satanic panic era too, may as well turn Aleister Black into a rockstar that likes to have fun before people start googling for Aleister Crowley

All of that said about Fabulous Moolah and Chyna and all of the other dirt people have behind them that they're forever associated with by some...and you still have hall of fame inductions and other things-you know, that NOT Fabulous Moolah battle royale...and I'm just gonna say it-it may not be the wrong move....but ALL OF THIS-

-And Chris Benoit still never existed.

I'd argue that Austin was a bigger star than any of the three you named (especially Sasha Grey. What did she do other than Entourage?). Even Cena is probably at least at the level of Ron Jeremy or Jenna Jamison at this point. Nikki Bella might even be a bigger star than Sasha Grey if you factor in her apparent popularity with children.
You're not wrong about them being stuffy, though.

No. WWE already put the news out earlier that day with their usual sources. Hunter even mentioned that in his speech.

Yeah I heard that but why did he HAVE to be the one to actually say it? Just let commentary do it as always instead of standing up there, out in the middle of the ring sayin-"Yeah, Got-dang Hof!"

Yes, Chyna is a trailblazer, but their obsessive use of the term for every single woman in company history makes it hard to use that to justify HOF induction because it's hard to explain why she gets in but not Kelly Kelly unless you're prepared to say "okay, fine, Kelly Kelly isn't a real trailblazer" and WWE have repeatedly shown that they are not willing to give up their buzzwords.

that's something that we could ask about literally every woman in WWE, and about 3/4 of men.
