After a night in which Raw had its traditional ratings bounce-back following football season, SmackDown was up this week but not by as much. Tuesday night's episode averaged 2.143 million viewers, up about five percent from last week.
The audience retention from Raw was below 80 percent for the first time since August. That figure is usually between 80-85 percent during weeks when Raw is not against Monday Night Football, and it goes up slightly from that when Raw has competition from football.
Year-over-year, SmackDown was down 18 percent. While that sounds bad, it's actually a little better than SmackDown has been doing the last couple of weeks.
SmackDown finished eighth for the night in terms of total viewers on cable and was second in the 18-49 demo with a 0.70 rating. Both are right under where SmackDown usually falls in the respective rankings. The only sports competition was college basketball on ESPN, which did just over one million viewers.
