NJPW reveals full card for Fighting Spirit Unleashed

The full card has been released for this Sunday’s Fighting Spirit Unleashed.

The show will headline with Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi teaming up to take on Kazuchika Okada and Tomohiro Ishii. Other matches added feature talent that has worked with New Japan in the past, including Flip Gordon, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Jeff Cobb, ACH and Chris Sabin.

Most of the key matches have already been announced, with Cody challenging Juice Robinson for the United States title, the Young Bucks taking on Guerillas of Destiny for the IWGP tag team titles and Will Ospreay squaring off against Marty Scurll in a IWGP Jr. title tournament semi-final.

Here is the full card for this Sunday’s show, which will take place at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California:

Tomohiro Ishii and Kazuchika Okada vs. Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega
Juice Robinson vs. Cody for the IWGP United States title
The Young Bucks vs. Guerillas of Destiny for the IWGP tag team titles
Will Ospreay vs. Marty Scurll in a IWGP Jr. Heavyweight title tournament semi-final
Hiroshi Tanahashi and KUSHIDA vs. Jay White and Gedo
Tetsuya Naito, EVIL and SANADA vs. Zack Sabre Jr. and Killer Elite Squad
Flip Gordon, Chris Sabin and Jeff Cobb vs. Best Friends and Hirooki Goto
Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels vs. Chase Owens and Hangman Page
ACH, Ryusuke Taguchi and Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Roppongi 3K

So the White & Gedo vs. Tanahashi & KUSHIDA match is either going to have 1) a non-finish, 2) KUSHIDA getting pinned even though he's headed to the tournament finals, or 3) Gedo getting pinned in his first match after his turn. They really should have swapped KUSHIDA with Flip or Taguchi.

yeap, agree, team Tanahashi could have taken the fall here. Maybe they'll do a DQ
