Tuesday's episode of SmackDown on the USA Network averaged 2.549 million viewers, down seven percent from last week's Superstar Shakeup.

The show faced tougher-than-usual competition as an NBA playoff game did 3.61 million viewers airing on TBS directly opposite SmackDown. SmackDown finished sixth for the night in total viewers on cable and third in the 18-49 demo with a 0.8 rating, trailing two separate NBA games. The networks were airing repeats, which may have helped the SmackDown number slightly.

The post-WrestleMania period is traditionally a down time for ratings, so it was a good sign that Tuesday's number was up three percent from the same week last year. Raw was up a similar percentage on Monday night.

The show retained 82 percent of the previous night's audience for Raw, about what SmackDown usually averages during the NFL offseason.
