Even going against the NCAA basketball championship game, Raw held steady last night with 3.35 million viewers, down from the 3.36 million the prior week.

Staying even against that level of a sporting event has to be considered good, even though the Villanova-Michigan game did 13.28 million viewers, shockingly low since no NCAA final in the last 43 years had ever fallen below 17 million and last year's final drew 23 million viewers.

The key was almost no drop in the third hour, which built to the Brock Lesnar vs, Roman Reigns angle. In addition, unlike the past few weeks with Daylights Savings time, the first hour was the most-watched, which had the Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey vs. Triple H & Stephanie McMahon angle. The NCAA final didn't start until after 9 p.m. Eastern.

Raw was fourth for the night on cable, trailing the basketball game as well as its pre-game show and post-game show, but beating everything else on television except the game and network programming on CBS, ABC, and NBC.

The key was how reversed from usual the third hour drop was, as in recent weeks, it's been double digit drops among women, and in women 18-49, it was up one percent and males 18-49 were up eight percent. It did drop among teenage girls and those over 50.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 3.43 million viewers
9 p.m. 3.33 million viewers
10 p.m. 3.31 million viewers
