While AJ Styles is still scheduled to defend his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at Fastlane, it looks like there will be another person joining them.

WWE had Shane McMahon announce on Twitter today that the winner of Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin on next week's SmackDown will be added to the Fastlane main event: "An unexpected end to #SDLive with a triple threat match made for #WWEFastlane...I’m going to make a bit more interesting. Next week: @BaronCorbinWWE vs. @HEELZiggler. The winner is added to the match and makes it a #Fatal4Way for the @WWE title."

Next week's episode will be the first time Ziggler has appeared on SmackDown since December 19th. After winning the United States Championship at Clash of Champions, there was a storyline where he left the title in the ring and walked out. Bobby Roode then went on to win the championship in a tournament.

Ziggler returned at the Royal Rumble, coming in as a surprise entrant at number 30 and being eliminated by Finn Balor after a couple of minutes.

Both Ziggler and Corbin were left off the "SmackDown Top 10 List" that debuted as a ranking system this Tuesday.

Daniel Bryan announced Styles vs. Owens vs. Zayn for Fastlane after Styles got involved in a number one contender's match between the two of them. Earlier in the night, Shane questioned why Bryan even put Owens and Zayn in the number one contender's match.

Fastlane is SmackDown's last pay-per-view before WrestleMania and will take place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on March 11th. Before Shinsuke Nakamura won the Royal Rumble, the venue had been advertising Styles vs. Nakamura vs. Owens vs. Zayn vs. Randy Orton as the main event.

So Shane is giving Dolph a chance to earn a title shot even though the last time Dolph won a title he immediately walked out of the company?
And really. If you were going to put these two guys in a match for a title shot could why would you not make sure they were in the top ten? It immediately buries the top ten, and for absolutely no reason, when two seconds of forethought would have prevented this. Just take some combination of Becky, Naomi, and Dillin-jobber out. But no. The people who write Smackdown cannot put one single once of forethought into their show.

The top ten is already garbage that makes no sense though lol.
When they come, they'll come at what you love.

How has Dillinger come above most of the locker room? How were the New Day higher than the damn Tag Champions? I understand the Top 3. WWE Champion, Women's Champion and Rumble Winner/WM Main Eventer. The rest is a joke.

it's 'wrestler voted', so I guess we're supposed to think that this is high school and they're just voting for the popular prom king and queen, even so that even the heels voted for the babyfaces

Which in itself is ridiculous. Don't just spring up and say "here's a top ten". Is it going to further any storylines? Do you being higher in the chart mean that you get opportunities? Are wins, losses (or impressive performances) taken into account!? No. It's all worthless. It's all pointless.
Have A Nice Day!
