More on Rousey's WM Plans, Merch, Contract + More

The current plan for Ronda Rousey's WWE debut at WrestleMania looks to be a tag team match against Stephanie McMahon & Triple H.

There had been rumors all week regarding the match the company had tried to put together for WrestleMania 31 with Rousey & Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson against Stephanie & Triple H. It is unknown whether that match can be put together. Johnson hasn't' been able to wrestle a significant match due to insurance reasons regarding movies he has agreed to do that have kept him from wrestling at last few WrestleMania shows, aside from the few second match with Erick Rowan in 2016.

The announcement of Rousey's signing, which had been known for some time since she had been training since last summer for pro wrestling, is a huge move given the company's television contract is coming due and Rousey is a gigantic mainstream name. Whether or not she has long-term drawing potential past the curiosity of some early matches, her being part of the roster with her name value as a woman's star should increase the value of the company's programming since they have announced she will be there as a full-timer for several years.

- Rousey did go to Colombia for the "Mile 22" moving filming, but returned via a private charter and laid low for 24 hours. She didn't have any entourage with her so she could lay low. No one even spotted her at customs in Miami, Florida, upon her return. Her husband Travis Browne was at home with his sons who didn't even know their stepmom was about to be on TV.

- As we've reported, Rousey told Shelburne she's been training at the Performance Center for months. Rousey said she's been traveling there on weekends while filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

- WWE had to get clearance from Joan Jett's management in order to use "Bad Reputation" last night.

- Minutes after her appearance, WWE Shop was already selling two different Rousey shirts. Speaking of that, she has filed three trademarks for "Rowdy Ronda Rousey."

- ESPN released several videos of interviews Rousey did with Shelburne including this one after the Rumble and these in a sit-down setting.

- Dave Meltzer reported that the plan is still for The Rock & Rousey to face Triple H & Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania if they can get Rock to do a match. Dave will be Ariel Helwani's MMA Hour today to discuss.

So then WHY THE F*CK WAS SHE IN THE SEGMENT WITH THE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONS AND ASUKA? And why did she shake Steph's hand? How does anyone watch that segment and not assume that Ronda is going to either be in a title match at Mania? And if this was their idea for Hunter then what was the point of ANYTHING he did at Survivor Series with Kurt, Shane, or Braun? THIS COMPANY IS SO DUMB!
