The IWC is freaking out about Don signing because he's affiliated with New Japan, but just because Don is there doesn't guarantee New Japan bookings right?

no, but there are news that NJPW and Impact have started trying to amend their relationships. it may still mean nothing since Nordholm is really tight with Roldan from AAA and with NOAH. So don't expect top NJPW talent, but maybe in the future,, a young lion could get some Impact bookings

the note doens't mention it, but Gaburick and Mantel are now gone, leavnig Callis, D'Amore, and Sonjay Dutt as the main creative leads i believe

On the one hand I probably think this will wind up ending Cyrus' tenure in New Japan in the long run because the exact reasons you just listed put TNA firmly on the opposite side of the NJPW/ROH/CMLL/RevPro alliance, but on the other hand, I an't possibly see Cyrus having accepted this without getting some sort of okay from NJPW first, because otherwise it would mean unhitching his wagon from Omega's.

Callis and D'Amore on Talk is Jericho. They seem to have a good project, but it all comes down to see how they book the actual product.
