Global Force Wrestling announced today that Jeff Jarrett is taking an indefinite leave of absence from his regular position with the company to focus on personal matters.

The company's statement: "Effective immediately, Jeff Jarrett is taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position as Chief Creative Officer to focus on personal matters. Jeff will be available on a consultative basis as needed."

Jarrett has been a key figure in the wrestling side of the business during the Anthem era and as the company has rebranded as GFW. He has been forming working relationships with a handful of international promotions, with him representing GFW at AAA's Triplemania XXV show on August 26th.

Jarrett was also in action at Triplemania, where he competed in the Torneo battle royal. It was similar to a Royal Rumble match, but with teams of three. He represented GFW along with Moose and Bobby Lashley. He spent a long time getting to the ring, heckling fans and throwing tortillas to the crowd, which is what his gimmick usually is when going to Mexico.

Jarrett tweeted this morning: "Tuesday morning...let's go...super excited about September for @IMPACTWRESTLING @GFWWrestling ..." GFW has also been advertising that he will appear on this week's episode of Impact in a taped segment where they address the incident with Sexy Star injuring Rosemary at Triplemania.
