Fueled by the Kurt Angle reveal, Raw did its best numbers since April 17th, averaging 3.15 million viewers, a five percent increase over last week's show that went head-to-head with the Home Run Derby.
The Angle reveal was at the beginning of the third hour, which ended up as the lowest rated hour, but the second-to-third hour drop of five percent was below usual levels.
The show also featured a main event of Samoa Joe vs. Roman Reigns in a match, with no ending, billed to determine the challenger for Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
They also did a stronger job than usual of advertising and building to next week's show, with three different matches announced, including a Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose tag team reunion for television, and likely challengers for both the main men's and women's title on Raw for SummerSlam being determined.
The three hours were:
8 p.m. 3.14 million viewers
9 p.m. 3.24 million viewers
10 p.m. 3.08 million viewers

Amazing what happens when you have a story which has built suspense and hype.
Okay, the pay off sucked. But everyone was curious.
