*SPOILERS* TNA's Plans For AJ Styles and The World Title

Post by Bob-O » Oct 25th, '13, 20:45

Source: ewrestlingnews.com

After AJ Styles "walked out" of the company last night, Dixie Carter will announce a tournament to crown a new champion on next week's episode, which airs on Halloween.

A gauntlet match will headline next Thursday's show to determine one of the participants, and the actual tournament begins on November 7.

The expected names in the tournament are Kurt Angle, Austin Aries, Chris Sabin, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Magnus and James Storm.

It should also be noted that there was talk of AJ Styles defending the TNA title at numerous indy promotion events. We'll see if that's still the plan.

So one guy has to earn his way in, but all of the other guys get in just because?

I'm assuming Magnus wins the gauntlet, and the rest are granted seeds for being former champions.

Anderson and Bully are former champs, too. So is Abyss. Why don't they get in automatically?

they're barely speculating names, consider that Sabin is the X Division champion and there's a reason why option c exists. And Ray and Anderson are likely to be contenders but they'll eliminate themselves from the competition because of their feud. Also, Kurt is supposed to be 'not clear' to wrestle

Yeah, but Destination X isn't for another nine months.

I think bully and Anderson should make it to the finals, keeping their feud intact (make both look strong) so when they enter the finals it'd be an explosive match (well in my head) that way if Bully wins he can tell Anderson that what he's said all this time is that Bully is better.

and if Anderson wins, he can simply do the same thing which would piss off and drive Bully nuts..

but like I said its in my head and maybe not be as good as I think
Simply Better !!

Because they're fat and Dixie needs some heat. She states that she won't have her company represented by "a fat piece of shit". When they try to argue that Joe is in the tournament, she takes an Anti-Bullying stance. In the same segment she explains that Anderson isn't in the tournament because "he's good and all, but could never be 'the one'..."

A poor man's cover of "Ace of Spades" hits, she puts a sock on her hand, and starts chugging cans of beer. Book it.

Haha, reverse booking TNA Spoilers is fun!

1) That rule was only created just to create Option C, and was never enforced in any other situation. At the same time that Hogan first made that rule, one half of the tag champs was in the BFG Series, and no mention was ever made if Daniels having to give up his title if he won the BFG Series.
2) TNA has had a casual relationship with its own rules, at best. We all know this.
3) From a kayfabe POV, now that Hogan is gone, Dixie can just undo all of his rules.
