After being released by WWE last week, Mickie James posted a picture on social media Thursday afternoon showing a box WWE sent her that had her belongings in a trash bag with her name on it.

Both Paul "Triple H" Levesque and Stephanie McMahon took to Twitter Thursday night to publicly apologize to James and say the person responsible has been fired. It's unknown if others involved will also be relieved of their duties. Dave Meltzer said the person involved is someone "major."

PW Insider reported there's been some changes in their talent relations department over the last day as director of talent relations Nicole Zeoli is no longer with WWE and senior manager of talent relations John Cone was relieved of his duties, but remains a WWE referee. It's unclear whether those were related to the trash bag incident and if WWE had got word of others receiving a similar treatment as Levesque's tweet alludes to.

In what quickly became an overhaul of the talent relations department, senior director Mark Carrano is no longer with WWE.

The news was first reported by Wrestling Inc and confirmed by Dave Meltzer with more to come in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Carrano joins director of talent relations Nicole Zeoli and senior manager of talent relations John Cone as those no longer in their roles, first reported by PWInsider. Zeoli is gone from the company altogether while Cone remains as a referee.

Whether the reason for the sudden changes that happened in the last few days is due to the "trash bag incident" that broke Thursday is unknown and what roles Carrano, Zeoli and Cone had in it. It's also unknown when these personnel decisions were made.

Recently released Mickie James posted an image on social media Thursday where her belongings and gear were sent to her in a trash bag. Other female talents like Maria Kanellis and Jillian Hall tweeted they had received a similar treatment. As of now, none of the other ten talents released last week have publicly said they also received their gear in a similar fashion.

Paul "Triple H" Levesque and Stephanie McMahon both apologized to James Thursday on Twitter with Levesque adding the "person responsible for this inconsiderate action has been fired and is no longer with WWE." It's unknown whether that person was Carrano.

John Laurinaitis was recently rehired by WWE as general manager of talent with Carrano reporting to him.

Based on the way Carano came across in the few episodes of Total Divas I saw, him being responsible wouldn't surprise me. He was quite creepy.
