WWE shot an angle where Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre destroyed Braun Strowman's elbow on last night's episode of Raw,

Strowman teamed with Finn Balor & Elias in an elimination tag match against Corbin, Lashley & McIntyre. It ended with the heels attacking Strowman's elbow and smashing it between two sets of steel steps. WWE later issued an injury update, calling the elbow "shattered."

Dave Meltzer noted on last night's Wrestling Observer Radio that the angle was a cover for a legitimate injury Strowman is dealing with. Meltzer said Strowman has bone spurs in the elbow that was attacked and is going to undergo elbow surgery. Meltzer described the injury as "not a bad deal" and said Strowman's elbow obviously isn't shattered, but it's touch and go if he'll be able to wrestle Corbin at TLC. Meltzer said he guesses that it will depend on the seriousness of the surgery.

Meltzer said the belief is that Strowman will be fine to face Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

During last night's Raw, Strowman facing Corbin in a tables, ladders, and chairs match was announced for WWE's TLC pay-per-view in San Jose, California on December 16. The stipulation is that Strowman will challenge for Lesnar's Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble if he defeats Corbin. If Corbin wins, he'll become the permanent general manager of Raw. Corbin will lose all of his power if Strowman wins.
