As the global partnership between ROH, New Japan, CMLL, and RevPro continues to grow stronger, Ring of Honor is thrilled to announce that CMLL stars Rey Cometa and Esfinge will make their Ring of Honor debuts on the Survival of the Fittest Tour. Each will compete on Friday November 17 in San Antonio, TX and Saturday November 18 in Dallas, TX!
Rey Cometa is a former CMLL Mexican National Welterweight Champion who perhaps is best known for his alliance with Stuka Jr. against Namajague and Okumura! Cometa and Stuka Jr. defeated their foes, forcing them to unmask and shave their hair respectively before Cometa would defeat Namajague to also claim his hair. The man whose name translates into King Comet makes his United States and ROH debut in San Antonio and looks to bring his arsenal of signature planchas, including the amazing Cometa Especial into his bouts!
Esfinge also makes his US and ROH debut in San Antonio! Esfinge, whose name translates to sphinx in English, is a third-generation star that made his professional wrestling debut at the age of just 16 years old in 2009! His partnership with his father, Magnum, propelled the duo to win the 2016 La Copa Junior, a tournament that celebrates familial relationships. No stranger to tag team success, Esfinge also won the 2016 Torneo Gran Alternativa, a tournament pairing young stars with veterans, in 2016 with Volador Jr.
