I don't know if it will play into the match, but Ospreay did say that after battering each other so much they now expect them to trust each other. He tells ROH that he will play ball, but the moment it gets nasty blah blah blahBig Red Machine wrote:Scurll & Ospreay vs. The Young Bucks for 11/19.
I don't like this. Don't Scurll and Ospreay kayfabe hate each other? Could they really not find someone else to team with one of these guys? The website is billing it as a "dream" match, but is it really a "dream" match if no one would ever dream of Scurll and Ospreay teaming together?
It also smells just like the standard lazy house-show main event booking (like the six-man last weekend, or any other random Young Bucks vs random team or random pairing inconsequential spotfest match that ROH has insisted on doing for the past ten months).
That sounds a lot more like Ospreay doing damage control to me.cero2k wrote:I don't know if it will play into the match, but Ospreay did say that after battering each other so much they now expect them to trust each other. Yeah definitely, but at least someone already noticed and since they usually get to call their spots and whatnot, maybe it will play into the match itself.Big Red Machine wrote: That sounds a lot more like Ospreay doing damage control to me.
I really hope it doesn't unless it is going to lead to a longer storyline and not just build heat for their match against each other on the tour. That's such lazy WWE/TNA bullsh*t and ROH (or really ANY company- even WWE or TNA) shouldn't be engaging in it.cero2k wrote:Yeah definitely, but at least someone already noticed and since they usually get to call their spots and whatnot, maybe it will play into the match itself.Big Red Machine wrote: That sounds a lot more like Ospreay doing damage control to me.
Right... except that Ospreay could work ROH due to the New Japan deal, and IIRC the reports were that Scurll was going to ROH on a more regular basis (hence his absence from EVOLVE- at least last month. I still haven't seen the September shows yet), so it is entirely possibly to do something storyline relevant with them.cero2k wrote:at least when it comes to UK, it surely could continue their storyline. I don't know how much more they'll be doing once that tour is over, Ospreay returns to Japan and Scurll apparently to the US
I actually see a title change coming here.cero2k wrote:Ospreay vs Fish for the TV title set for Liverpool
