One may see his diminutive size, his small frame, or his nickname as a non-starter for a pro-wrestler, but ‘Burger has shattered all expectations through persistence and hard work. His success in Ring of Honor has done enough to put him on the United States’ wrestling fan’s radar; his success in New Japan in the Tokyo Dome earlier this week, competing with and against legends like Yoshiaki Fujiwara, Jushin “Thunder” Liger, Yuji Nagata, Tiger Mask IV, and others, is proof that anything is possible when chasing a dream when you have a willingness to put yourself in a position to succeed!

One of the most dedicated Ring of Honor stars, Cheeseburger never turns down an opportunity to train or put himself in a situation out of his comfort zone. As a young trainee, ‘Burger once was asked to be the first to greet the stars of New Japan as they arrived in the United States to compete in ROH. people like him, i think he's having that Daniel Bryan effect were a skinny dweeb, who the fans see themselves in, can make it. Bobby Dempsey should make a comback

Okay... so keep him around with the company. That doesn't mean you should waste space on the website focusing on a guy who is a jobber and killing your website's credibility.

website space is pretty much free now a days, would you rather they waste TV time than website space? And you can't blame them for doing something like this, the kid just debuted in Tokyo Dome and people over there liked him too, I assure you NJPW is more interested in bringing him back than giving Roddy a tryout.

If that's the case, then New Japan is f*cking stupid.

As for why you shouldn't do something like this on your website: because it makes you look stupid. Everyone knows that he's a jobber, so for the promotion to talk him up like he could have some sort of breakout year makes the promotion look silly.

no, if someone is getting over with the fans, then you capitalize and give him wins and give him the stage to get more over. Otherwise, you're no better than Vince killing Ryder or any other man that got over by themselves.

With a guy like Cheeseburger, giving him too many wins will kill him because he won't be a lovable underdog anymore. He should definitely be kept around as an undercard guy, but don't put an article on your website wondering if this will be the "Year of the Burger."

they can be smart about it and give him a Mike Bailey PWG type of push with some upsets, and not only against Brutal Bob. ROH should take him seriously if he's getting talked about. Except ROH way of working an underdog is to have him interact with the Bushwackers

Cheeseburger is named Cheeseburger and is often used as a comedy dork and has been from the moment they tried to do anything with him other than make him Charlie Haas' bullying victim. You can't be taken seriously in ROH with a name like Cheeseburger.

his name is 'Speedball' mike bailey and he is a karate fighter, he's not that far from being a comedy jobber. I agree that the name cheeseburger is stupid, as is his attire, and his looks, and his wrestling and all, but if he's starting to get over, then capitalize on it, if the kid needs more character depth, then give it to him, add his real name and leave cheeseburger as his nickname, but there is no reason why they shouldn't push him or why 2016 couldn't be his breakout year.

1) Bailey's name is a bit silly but it's nowhere near as silly as Cheeseburger, and he was never portrayed like a comedy jobber.
2) Yes. They should be doing things to him more depth and let Rondell be Rondell instead of Cheeseburger... but that's the sort of thing that should happen BEFORE you put this article out. He needs to cut a promo saying all of these things FIRST, and then you can write your article that can focus on what it is that has changed that might make this year different for him. That way you're putting over a determined young up-and-comer. Doing what ROH did here is putting over a comedy jobber.
