the footage exists, but they never released it, i'm sure it had to do with some copyrights shit, but soon after they did "The Underground" stuff which they did release, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good either

Drake doesn't surprise me. He'd been in and out of WWE developmental for a while at that time, so Dreamer probably knew what he could do and he was an HWA guy, which means that Anderson and possibly Hero would have known him.
Hold #712: ARM BAR!

Upcoming Reviews:
FIP in 2005
ROH Validation
PWG All-Star Weekend V: Night 2
DGUSA Open the Northern Gate
CHIKARA Hot Off the Griddle

If I necro-post in something that's already been necro-posted, would I be beating a dead horse?

Anyway, somebody was asking about this on Reddit this morning and it sent me down the rabbit hole of WRP once again. Holy crap, the roster they had just gets better with age... once again:

Tim Thatcher
Joey Ryan
Kassius Ohno
Chris Masters
Amazing Red
Dr Luther
Daivari
Brain Cage
Eli Drake
Gallows and Anderson
Pat Buck
Colt Cabana
MVP
Sami Callihan
Adam Pearce
and Kenny Omega

in what looked like almost the exact same episodic concept Lucha Underground used... good god the potential. Long live Brick Shithouse!

Kenny Omega also apparently didn't get paid because he broke a chandelier during the tapings.

Plus
Emil Sitoci of wXw
KM
Alex Reynolds
Rick Knox

whoever scouted this had an eye for the future.

btw, Eli Drake was bigger than Brian Cage

I wonder if he saw the creator running off with all the Kickstarter money...

TIL that this thing was also fan-funded...
