MLW Fusion EP3: Rise of the Worldwide Desperado
May 4, 2018
Orlando, FL

We got footage from Walemania with Havoc and Joey Janela brawling.

Jimmy Havoc Promo - Havoc challenges Janela to fight him right here right now instead of jumping him like he always does. Joey comes out and they start brawling around the venue.

Out comes Low Ki who was supposed to be suspended (We got footage of such suspension). He talks trash on MLW offices and MVP, so MVP comes out to fight him, but before he can get to the ring, Sami Callihan attacks him from behind (they have a match tonight scheduled). This all felt like a clusterfuck, I don't know what happened with Havoc and Janela at the end.

"Filthy" Tom Lawlor w/Team Filthy Promo - Lawlor annouces that due to a broken forearm, he can't wrestle tonight, but instead, Simon Gotch will take his place tonight vs ACH, and thus....

Simon Gotch w/Team Filthy vs ACH - 6.5/10
A lot of submission work from Gotch vs the high flying style of ACH. The match was pretty much like all ACH matches were he is being worked on and then he makes a valiant comeback, selling whatever was being worked on, only difference is that the amtch was somewhat short as aCH managed to get a roll up when he was starting the comeback. I sometimes miss heel ACW's ACH.

Post-match - Team Filthy attacked ACH after the ring. Lawlor used his flip flop to attack him. Tom Lawlor got interviewed at the ramp, he just said that he is about 5000x better than ACH.

Ranking's Rundown
10 - Barrington Hughes
9 - Joey Janela
8 - Jeff Cobb
7 - Rey Fenix
6 - Sami Callihan
5 - "Filthy" Tom Lawlor
4 - Low Ki
3 - MVP
2 - Jimmy Havoc
1 - Pentagon Jr.

Shane Strickland Vignette - Good

Maxwell J. Friedman Vignette - Amazing. Like if Mr. Perfect had Del Rio's money.

Vandal Ortagun vs Mike Parrow - Squash.
Big dude vs smaller, faster guy, with Parrow really dominating the match enough to call it a squash. Good showing for Parrow. Col. Parker came out and watched the match from the ramp, when they met up there, Parrow and Parker shook hands.

Salina de la Renta Promo - She is about talk about Pentagon, but she gets distracted with ACH and Strickland talking close by, she goes and tells him to not get used to having the MLW title around his waste.

Jimmy Havoc Promo - He's out in the dark woods, so i'm guessing that's where the brawl led to and then Joey bailed and Havoc cut a promo. He said that when they fight again, there will be blood. Janela vs Havoc main events next week.

Team Filthy Interview - Tom is notified that he has been cleared to wrestled. They deny it and kick out Andrea of their locker room. Lawlor vs ACH is also announced for next week.

Sami Callihan promo - Good promo, he talks trash about MVP's claim that he's doing this for his kids.

Sami Callihan vs MVP - 6.5/10
MVP skipped his entrance and went straight to the ring and started the fight. This was a back and forward brawl. They started outside the ring, they went inside the ring, and then back outside. There was almost a double countout, but they both made it back on 19. Back inside the ring, the brawl went on until Callihan got the bat, which the ref tried to take away, but in the struggle, the ref got bumped. MVP hit the Drive By Kick and Play Maker, but suddenly, a smaller version of Strowman came out, hit a chokeslam, and dragged Callihan on top.

Ref fucked it up calling a two count without an actual kick out. They both got up, MVP hit a move, but the ref got distracted, Callihan low blowed MVP and got the pin after a Brainal Contusion. Good brawl, but that finish did kinda take me out.

Shane Strickland Interview - He said he is confident he can defeat Pentagon Jr. He goes to his locker room, and someone has left a Day of the Dead altar of himself. Cool touch.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
A really promo heavy show with some weakish matches inside the ring, not bad, just not astounding as the previous two shows.
