BRM Reviews the 9/17/2021 Rampage

The commentary team tonight is Excalibur, Taz, Chris Jericho, and Ricky Starks. Is Jericho just completely incapable of talking at a normal volume when he’s on commentary? AEW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Lucha Bros.(c) (w/Alex Abrahantes) vs. The Butcher & The Blade (w/the Hardy Family Office)- ...

WOLFGANG vs. “FLASH” MORGAN WEBSTER (w/subculture)- 5.5/10 Webster tried to get Wolfgang angry, but Wolfgang kept his cool. Wolfgang worked over Webster’s midsection and got the win, but he showed Webster respect after the match. Sid Scala announced that in two weeks, Joe Coffey would face off again...

Re: Cero Reviews NJPW G1 Climax 31, 9.18

The question is what happens when you don't have the top guys wrestling each other, though. Can they bring Loa and Owens and so forth up to their level. Also, will Ibushi's body hold up? The only person in the whole tournament that we kinda know that can't be carried to a good match is Yujiro, Owen...

Re: Cero Reviews NJPW G1 Climax 31, 9.18

Regardless of what your opinion is on the lack of White or Ospreay and the addition of wrestlers like Owens and Loa, you can't deny that there are still many wrestlers involved in the G1 that will no doubt deliver top level matches. The last two matches in tonight's card were incredible, some of th...

BRM Reviews ROH Death Before Dishonor 2021

ROH Death Before Dishonor 2021 (9/12/2021)- Baltimore, MD I heard all that was on Hour One was an Honor Rumble, so I skipped it. I have better things to do with my time than watch a battle royale containing mostly jobbers. If you want me to watch that sh*t you’ll have to do what AEW does and put it ...

BRM Reviews the 9/15/2021 Dynamite

CM Punk is doing commentary tonight. The graphic described Punk as a “6-time world champion.” Presumably that’s his five with the WWE and World Heavyweight Titles… and what’s the six? Are they counting ROH or are they counting his WWECW Title run? It doesn’t really matter. I’m just curious. ADAM COL...

Re: Did You Know: The AEW World Championship...

Those are solid arguments. I'm a big believer that your world championship should always be your main event unless under extraordinary circumstances but I understand why others would have preferred the listed matches because they were all great Ah... but are the AEW women's and tag team titles not ...

Re: Day-to-Day Quote Topic

Lashley injured? I haven't heard anything, but there is always the possibility. Was the conversation not about Joe? It was definitely about Lashley. Big E. was specifically brought in. I THINK it's going to be a work and excuse for why Lashley lost and build the rematch. There hasn't been anything ...

Not sure if true, but I just overheard a dude in the train say that the title change in Raw was due to an injury Lashley injured? I haven't heard anything, but there is always the possibility. Was the conversation not about Joe? It was definitely about Lashley. Big E. was specifically brought in.

Re: Did You Know: The AEW World Championship...

Interesting. Show your work. Shida vs. Britt was MUCH bigger than Omega vs. Pac vs. OC (I realize now that that show was also Stadium Stampede, and that match feels a lot less consequential in hindsight. Bucks vs. FTR was MUCH bigger than Moxley vs. Kingston ( Full Gear 2020 ). Ditto with FTR vs. P...

1. Not a fair stat because WWE has two world titles and one set of PPVs
