didn't realized he was already 40. Feels like he wasted his career collecting paychecks, he could had been a bigger deal if he had gone somewhere else.
This.
I can only second / third this.

For me, he needs to have one good run with the Hennig name (AEW, NWA, ROH)

Re: HHH: Two-night WM more enjoyable than eight-hour extravaganza

2. I wasn't thinking along the lines of having someone refuse the match so much as just start the story but don't heat it up until after Mania. There are definitely ways to make it part of a storyline, though (but I'd avoid using the term "WrestleMania Moment(tm)" like the plague). 3. See... if you...

Re: HHH: Two-night WM more enjoyable than eight-hour extravaganza

Or... wait for it... how about you do one show of about 5h (5:30 if you REALLY must), and just BOOK A TIGHTER SHOW?! 1. Don't waste half an hour of everyone's time with two completely pointless participation trophy battle royales that everyone watching knows won't mean sh*t. If you want to give the...

To add to the above, cut AT LEAST one match-Corbin and Elias shouldn't even be on WM at this point.
That doesn't even scream pre-show to me. Definitely cutable.

Re: The Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship: A Rant

I don’t watch most Japanese wrestling anymore, because I don’t particularly enjoy it. I will be the first to admit I prefer a more western presentation of wrestling. I just want stuff to make sense and I grew up watching wrestling full of goofy stuff that there is the key, focus on what you like an...

Re: BRM Reviews the 4/15/2020 Dynamite

Jake Roberts has absolutely nailed how to do a manager promo! I love Britt Baker's shtick right now. It's great. In the ring, she's alright, but this character is fucking great. At last Shawn Spears is finally being given the opportunity to start finding character (even if it is him being obnoxious ...

Re: The Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship: A Rant

Not true. As usual, my point is entirely missed. To my knowledge and understanding, none of that group you mention have done anything that have exposed wrestling as pure bullshit by wrestling the invisible man, blow up dolls or children and none of those have lost a championship to an inanimate obj...

Re: The Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship: A Rant

Credited champions of this title include: Chopsticks, a camera crane, a can of beer, the belt itself and some wrestlers underwear. Notable title changes include an entire audience "tapping out" by clapping, being traded for toilet paper, being drunk and in a dream. I don't get it. I don't want to ge...

Re: The Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship: A Rant

I can never buy in to an inanimate object being a champion! I get your point that it requires a "buy-in" to the universe like CHIKARA etc. but it's difficult to then take any competitors seriously once they move from DDT to any other promotion where a level of seriousness is expected. i'm sad you'l...

Re: The Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship: A Rant

DDT is an acquired taste. I enjoy some of their stuff (though I was a lot more into stuff like having a Royal Rumble on train where the gimmick was the a new competitor would get on at each station, or having a match at a campground). Personally, I thought the stuff was funny when it was actually c...

"Who would actually pay to watch this shit?"

people who like this type of comedy wrestling. And judging by their success a whole lot of people.

If it aint for you, that's ok, keep walking and let those that like it enjoy it.

The Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship: A Rant

You’ve all heard of DDT Wrestling right? That god awful company that has had like invisible men and blow up dolls in matches and helped spawn the likes of Joey Ryan etc… But have you heard of DDT’s Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship? According to Wikipedia... The Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion...

Re: BRM Reviews the 4/8/2020 Dyamite (some great video packages, but mostly sh*t)

Jake got the memo and his promo was a lot more about Lance Archer. To steal a quote from Bad Boys... "NOW THAT'S HOW YOU CUT A MANAGER PROMO, FROM NOW ON THAT'S HOW YOU CUT PROMOS". They're doing better than WWE at the empty shows. Just having a smattering of people making noise makes all the differ...

Damn. Post Wrestlemania chopping block is HARSH this year.

Gallows and Anderson will be just fine, Japan or AEW.

Rowan can go and join the Dark Order in AEW

EC3 would be a good investment for AEW too.

I don't see him getting the belt, either. But there isn't anyone else I see getting it at the moment, either, so in that case, I think they're right to go with the guy who can give us the fresh match-up with a guaranteed high level of quality while really building someone else up on the undercard (...

Re: BRM Reviews the 4/1/2020 Dynamite (bad)

I have a general issue with Jake Roberts' promos. He's a great promo, one of the best historically. But he hasn't quite learned how to be a manager yet. He is still saying "I'm" going to do this and "I" did that. He needs to think a little more Heymanesque and speak about what Lance Archer is going...
