Re: BRM Reviews the 8/12/2020 AEW (extremely frustrating)

I'd argue that MJF is their "homegrown" star. His biggest gigs to date were things like MLW. This is his first international promotion gig and he's growing in that role. But besides him, you're right. Eh, I see your point, but MJF already had about two years of TV exposure/experience when...

I worry that Retribution will end up being like Dark Order. Where there'll be some Overlord that ends up being Vince McMahon.

Re: BRM Reviews the 8/7/2020 Smackdown (bad... but the end was hilariously so)

They took the concept of how The Nexus arrived and then somehow fucked it up to comical proportions. And not just the Nexus. They have a ground of people in masks I have absolutely no interest in finding out who is underneath them. I feel like the best thing for them to do would be to just abort th...

Roll on “tag team appreciation week” that was specifically written into FTR’s contract, which still somehow allows singles matches on the show.

if you’re going to label something so heavily, go all the way.

Re: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Buys XFL In $15 Mil Deal

Dwayne Johnson has enough star power in himself to create the interest that is required to be successful. The people who come in Need to get hooked quick, this is the last chance. totally agree with that, the XFL has the most chance at success with The Rock's face all over it, i'm still not betting...

Re: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Buys XFL In $15 Mil Deal

Suddenly XFL has a genuine chance of success. apparently, they're shooting to start it on 2021 already, so idk about that. Re: BRM Reivews the 7/29/2020 Dynamite (a bad show saved by some decent wrestling, but not enough)

Schiavone at least seems to care enough not to detract from the product, unlike Ross who will pretty much bury everything he thinks is ridiculous (which is a lot). Excalibur is grating with the constant TOPE SUICIDA and just yelling every big move in general. I appreciate that Excalibur at least kn...

I agree that JR and Shiavone are basically collecting paychecks at this point. Taz is the best announcer they’ve got there, by far.

But Excalibur is hard to listen to.

He’s also just been exposed as previously using racist language on a wrestling show. So.

If this isn't sarcasm, it should be. Excalibur is an atrocious commentator.

Re: BRM Reviews AEW Fight for the Fallen 2020 (bad)

“DASHA” INTERVIEWS NYLA ROSE- snore Nyla’s new manager is Vickie Guerrero. That’s… underwhelming. Her promo wasn’t bad or anything, but I think Nyla’s promos are better, so why does she need Vickie? I'm willing to give this a shot just based on the fact I balked at Cage and Taz being paired up at f...

Re: Gallows & Anderson detail Styles-Heyman heat, WWE releases, AEW talks

The Heyman thing is interesting, as most of the backstage scuttlebutt since Heyman's return with Brock in 2012 is that Heyman wasn't the old bullsh*tter Paul Heyman. But he was just on screen talent in 2012, nothing go bullshit with, as he then he more involved in creative and now has some level of...

Re: BRM Reviews AEW Fight for the Fallen 2020 (bad)

Not a good show, a bit of a let down all over really, on paper FTR vs Lucha Bros should have been great, but there just wasn’t the “click” you’d expect. Few botches in there too. Stuff being dumped on wrestlers is now as regular as dives to the outside. So now that’s overplayed and boring. I actuall...

Re: Former WWE star Rusev tests positive for COVID-19

Rusev to AEW has to happen right? He can do what Lance Archer can do, better than Lance Archer can do it. They're different. I think Rusev has real babyface potential. Archer is pretty much only suited to be a heel at anything more than a midcard level (he got over as a babyface in TNA on the under...
